When Jake Paul took on Tyron Woodley for the second time in the boxing ring, fans were anticipating a great clash.
Even though the boxing matches involving Paul are not always the best in terms of quality, they do offer great entertainment. That is why a full arena was present to witness him defeat Woodley in Paul vs. Woodley 2.
In Tampa, Florida, the two went head-to-head at the Amalie Arena, where Paul got a decisive win over Woodley. He knocked out his opponent in the sixth round and became the champion of that particular rivalry.
Now the question is what Paul will do next; even though he is not a match for most professional boxers, Jake Paul has shown that he can cut it in the ring against his rivals. Will he fight again? Or does Paul have other plans for 2022 and beyond?

Jake Paul Fights His Fifth Boxing Contest
The fact that Jake Paul, who is the brother of fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul, has been in the boxing ring for a competitive fight five times is remarkable.
When the Paul brothers announced they were going to try their hand at boxing, a lot of people could not believe what they were hearing. The idea of someone who got famous for making Vine and YouTube videos being in the boxing ring seemed absurd.
To their credit, Jake and Logan Paul worked very hard to get in shape for their respective fights and have always put up great efforts. They are competitors at heart, and even if they do not have the natural talent of professional boxers, they can hold their own in the ring.
Jake was meant to take on Tommy Fury for his fifth fight, but his opponent had to pull out due to injury, which opened the door for Tyron Woodley instead.
Woodley Comes in At the Last Minute
Woodley can point to one mitigating factor for Paul vs. Woodley 2; that he came into the contest at the last minute. There were two weeks to go before Jake Paul was due to take on Tommy Fury when the latter pulled out of the fight.
Woodley stepped into the ring to take on Paul, who beat him on a narrow decision in their first bout. Tyrone was not, however, at his best during this fight. Perhaps he had not trained at a high level in the lead-up, but he was beaten in the sixth round by a vicious knock-out punch from Jake Paul.

Jake Paul Looks to the Future
With Paul vs. Woodley 2 in his rearview mirror, Jake Paul now has nothing to prove against Tyrone Woodley. Even though the first bout was a close call in Paul’s favor, he won handily at the second attempt. He can now think about fighting other, better boxers.
Reports in the American media suggested that Jake Paul is set to take on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The idea of this contest is already exciting fans, as they believe that Chavez Jr. is a very tough opponent for Paul.
Jake Paul was interviewed for the “Boxing with Chris Mannix” podcast recently, where he admitted that he was looking to take on Chavez Jr. in a fight sometime in 2022.
While he did not go as far as to guarantee the matchup, he admitted that such a fight was of great interest to him. Whether the fight happens depends on whether Chavez Jr. agrees and if the two teams can work out a date, location, and financial terms for the bout.
Paul Looks to the UFC
Aside from fighting boxers, Jake Paul also has a strong interest in fighting in the UFC ring in the next two to three years. He has put in a challenge to UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, saying the two should go head-to-head in a no hold’s barred contest in the near future.
While he is confident of winning a UFC contest, Paul admitted that he would have to spend at least two years training his kicks to ensure he can compete against a UFC champion.

Is Jake Paul a Future Title Winner?
Some fans may be getting carried away with Jake Paul defeating Tyron Woodley. His fight was very impressive, both from an offensive and defensive standpoint.
Not only did Paul stand up to Woodley when the latter attacked, but he had counter punches that seriously bothered his rival. Eventually, one of his hooks was too much for Woodley, who was down for the count in round six.
Even though Paul got a decisive win in this match, it does not mean that he can go on to win titles in the boxing ring. He has to put in a lot more work and face better opponents if he is ever to win a serious boxing championship.
