Reason Behind Bobby Lashley Doing Stupid Storylines In WWE
Bobby Lashley coming back to WWE in 2018 could have been an important incident in the history of the company. This man a genetically freaking athlete who can go toe-to-toe with the prime names with the WWE, at any point.
However, WWE has barely used him in the main event picture in the past and the same tradition continues after he left Impact Wrestling and came back to the WWE.
Since joining Monday Night Raw in 2018, Bobby Lashley had one memorable storyline against Roman Reigns for the number one contender’s spot for Universal title.
Obviously, WWE did not let him win over their franchise player and thus deprived him of a dream match against Brock Lesnar. This match is seemingly the only reason why The Dominator has been working in the WWE.
While appearing in an interview with Gary Cassidy, Bobby Lashley admitted to WWE giving him stupid storylines since the comeback. But he is not concerned about doing those as his goal remains the same for him which is to face Brock Lesnar, at some point.
To get the match, he can do anything as long as the paycheck is fine. Here’s more from the former Intercontinental Champion, (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)
“[Match with Brock Lesnar] is the only reason I came back [to WWE] so everything that I’m doing around it, I don’t even know why I’m doing.
I’m just doing whatever I need to do to get to that match – whether it’s singing, bringing my sisters on or playing that nonsense.
They’ve held me back this long and I don’t know if it’s a point of paying dues here. I don’t care what it is, I’m going to get that match.”
This is not the first time that Bobby Lashley has openly demanded the match with Brock Lesnar. Many of the pro-wrestling fans have also wanted to see this since this could be a worth to watch a fight between two bonafide MMA athletes.
But the planning depends on WWE officials as to whether they want to host this match or not. In that case, Lashley will have to do stupid angles until retirement.
