According to the Wrestling Observer, Daniel Bryan was the one to push WWE officials to cancel the rematch at TLC 2019.

He thought that this match could be repetitive and a gap could add fuel to the angle. Thus they could have a significant blow-off match to culminate the rivalry,

“Originally it was gonna be Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan — Daniel Bryan himself was actually pushing to delay it.

He thought this pay-per-view was too soon and he is pretty hands-on with his story which if I was him I would be too because I wouldn’t want these people messing with my stories.

So it’s gonna be The Miz.”

The last time we saw Daniel Bryan on TV was the post-Survivor Series edition of SmackDown where the title match against The Fiend was confirmed. But TLC was never mentioned as the host event for the match.

On that night, Fiend dragged Bryan underneath the ring and came out with chunks of hairs from his body. So the rumors suggest that Bryan may resurface with a changed look when we next see him on TV.
