ToggleMiddle-order: Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Dinesh Karthik

With Virat Kohli rested for the series, Deepak Hooda is likely to bat at number three for India. The right-handed batsman had to sit on the bench during the last two T20Is against England earlier this month after Kohli returned.
Hooda has impressed one and all with his performances in recent days and another good series will all but seal his spot for the T20 World Cup. At number 4 and 5, Suryakumar Yadav and Dinesh Karthik are set to bat respectively.
Suryakumar is entering the first WI vs IND T20I on the back of a poor ODI series against the same opposition and would be keen to do well. Karthik, on the other hand, has failed to deliver on the expected lines for India since his comeback and would be hoping to deliver in the upcoming game.
