Indian Olympic medal winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt is unhappy with the way a certain fan group criticises him on social media, especially on twitter after his first round defeat in 2016 Rio Olympic.
Yogeshwar said, “Leave them barking like a Dog. I don’t care” He added, “ I know my fans have been spending difficult time. So I’ll request them to not lose hope. I’ll compete in other events for India in future.”
However, he also requested his fans to pardon him as he failed to win a medal for India. But he didn’t like a certain group of fans criticises him.
Yogeshwar also said that people who raised a question about his preparation in the last four years should know that process.
Yogeshwar, India’s medal prospect, was ousted from the first round of Rio Olympic. He lost to Mongolian wrestler Ganzorigin.
The wrestler, who fought in 65 kg category, won bronze in 2012 Rio Olympic.
The Indian was able to avert that danger, but 33 years old was soon cautioned while trying to grab his opponent’s legs. Yogeshwar’s troubles grew further as he conceded a point for a successful tackle by Ganzorigin, who led by the solitary point on period 1.
Ganzorigin upped the pressure in the next period and toppled Yogeshwar to lead 3-0. It was always going to be difficult for the Indian to mount a comeback from there and with the clock ticking down, Ganzorigin held to win.
Salman Khan’s made a mockery of Yogeshwar. Salman Khan was announced as Indian Olympic contingent ambassador before the Rio Olympic when Yogeshwar criticised the decision. He said that Salman has not done anything for Olympic sports so the post should go to a sports personality.
