The Rock is away from WWE for a long time now. He wrestled in one full-length match back in 2013 and then move on to Hollywood career. Numerous on-going projects are onboard for him and it’s hard for him to make time from his schedule to go back to competition inside the squared circle. But that doesn’t stop WWE from reaching out to him.

WWE Planning Huge Match For The Rock To Headline Wrestlemania 37
As noted in recent reports, WrestleMania 37 goes Hollywood which takes place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Since it will be a bigger occasion for the company, rumors are running high that WWE has already contacted The Rock to compete in one last match, perhaps. Vince McMahon wants him to perform against either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar.
Roman Reigns Wants Match Against The Rock At WWE Wrestlemania 37
Stephanie McMahon recently spoke on this matter during WrestleMania 37 press conference after getting asked about The Rock. She replied saying that they’re always talking to Dwayne Johnson (Rock’s reap name) about coming back. Sometimes the plan works out, but most of the time times it doesn’t. It will be interesting to see of WrestleMania returning to Hollywood might be enough reason to convince The Rock to get back to the wrestling business.
“We’re always talking to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and hoping he’s going to come back. Sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn’t, but we’re always talking. I think The Rock is the perfect example of what happens when WWE and Hollywood come together, so I hope that he’ll be a part of it but I can’t promise anything.”

Roman Reigns has also spoken up about this saying that he tried to convince The Rock so that he makes a WrestleMania return for a match next year. It is likely that such approaches will be coming down the road towards The Great One until WrestleMania 37 happens, next year. This is one of those occasions where WWE goes Hollywood and there’s no one better to represent this combo than The Brahma Bull.
