WWE released an official statement to announce that they suspended Robert Roode and Primo Colon for 30 days due to Wellness Policy violations.

This is the first time that Robert Roode has suffered the misfortune to get lost from the mix. Now it seems like he has also lost a huge championship match at WWE TLC.

Reason Why WWE Will Not Air 2019 Tribute To The Troops Event

According to the reports of Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Robert Roode was scheduled to team up with Dolph Ziggler to face The New Day at WWE TLC PPV event on this Sunday night for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. But that won’t be happening as one of the contenders that’s Roode has been sent home.

The veteran wrestling journalist had previously noted that that the match could be altered. Once the suspension of Robert Roode became official, then the match at WWE TLC was in fact changed as The New Day will be defending their titles against The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) on Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Roode’s last appearance happened on SmackDown following Survivor Series where he had to be stretchered out of the arena after suffering a beatdown at the hands of Roman Reigns.

It appeared to be a punishment for Roode since he disobeyed the rules put by WWE. Also, it removed him from the storyline progress, as well.

As mentioned above, this Wellness Policy violation was the first for both Robert Roode and Colon. So they will be serving the suspensions for 30 days.

It is speculated that he may have used illegal medicines not prescribed by WWE doctors. There’s still no confirmation on which substances they have been tested positive for.
