WWE Has Big Plans Over The United States Championship On Raw
2019 ended in a big way for Andrade as he won the first singles championship of his career on the main roster. It was during the Madison Square Garden live event on December 26th that he defeated Rey Mysterio to win the United States Title. Apparently, this has been the first step for the Mexican star for his rise to stardom aka the main event spotlight.
WWE is working hard to establish its next big Latin American star. Vince McMahon wants this to happen as early as possible since Rey Mysterio’s career is coming to a close, pretty soon.
He used to be on this spot for the past several years which won’t be the case in the upcoming years. There’s a chance that 2020 could be the last time that we see the masked Luchador in action on WWE TV.
This is why WWE has found a feud in Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade that will hopefully see their next big Latin American Superstar emerge. The current United States Champion will continue to dominate Mysterio to make a name for himself as well as keep his championship reign relevant.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Andrade will be wrestling Rey Mysterio in this program until they can figure a way out of the program. From then onwards, a new babyface will emerge to start a new feud for the United States Championship.
Humberto Carrillo seems to be gearing up for this spot where the title feud will be reserved within Mexican stars, only. Thus, Andrade, the heel will also help to build the next top babyface for Latin America fans,
“Originally, and this doesn’t appear to have changed, the idea was for Andrade to have a longer very serious program over the title with Carrillo as a way to get both guys over as singles Latino stars.”
Vince McMahon is said to be pretty high on Humberto Carrillo who could be a good choice to replace Rey Mysterio once the latter name departs.
His incredible high flying ability has already earned praise from the fans. With proper plan and storylines, he can reach the top of his game, pretty quick.
