WWE poster boy John Cena will be back on WWE TV, this week. Unfortunately, he won’t be appearing on either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown but a talk-show. He will be gracing the premiere episode of WWE Backstage on FS1 that will air on October 5th following SmackDown. This is going to be a weekly show hosted by Renee Young and Hall of Famer Booker T to focus on the happening around the WWE world.
To promote the debut episode of the show constructed by FOX sports, WWE is bringing back John Cena to the scene. This will be his first WWE appearance since July next month on the occasion of a WWE Raw reunion episode. The Cenation Leader will take part in the current situation of the WWE storylines alongside another mainstream sportsperson, Rob Gronkowski.
This appearance by John Cena will eventually help him to promote his next film named Playing With Fire. Promotion for the film is going on as the movie is hit the theatres, shortly.
Hence, there’s no way that the 14-time world champion will be back on WWE storylines ahead of Survivor Series 2019. It will be having no effect on the weekly televised shows that is Raw or SmackDown.
The good news for the fans is that John Cena considers WWE to be his home. So he is not walking out of the pro-wrestling industry anytime soon. But the busy movie schedule is not allowing him to come back to the squared circle, anytime soon. Physically, he feels to be healthy enough but does want to take the risk, (as stated to Sunday Today)
“I feel great, I’m in the best shape of my life,” he added. “It’s not that I couldn’t continue, but I think from this point on I run the risk of tipping that balance the wrong way. You really have to prepare to get ready to perform, and then recover after a performance.”
John Cena used to be the workhorse of the WWE during his prime. In general, he performed in 250 nights on average, per year which was the highest for any superstar. So he has been the highest-paid wrestler in the company for some consecutive years.
