WWE TLC witnessed a number of changes on the card after this week’s WWE Raw and Smackdown. A Ladders match has become official following the conclusion of the flagship show. The blue brand is not far behind while setting up the matches as they announced a Chairs Match instead. Two of the veterans will compete in it which could become the match of the night.
Rey Mysterio wants to wrestle his son
Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton are within the midst of a rivalry for the past several weeks. The resident viper of the WWE has become remorseless ever since turning into a heel. So he did not show any sort of sympathy to a man whom the audience sees as a living legend. He targeted the masked man ever since he returned to Smackdown, earlier this year.
Using his brutality and physical advantage, Randy Orton gained the upper-hand in this rivalry. He unmasked Rey Mysterio three weeks ago on Smackdown. Then a relentless attack followed to leave him lying in an injured state. His cracked ribs did not allow to show up on last week’s edition.
Randy Orton appeared on last night’s Smackdown to announce the match at WWE TLC. He revisited the beatdowns delivered on Rey Mysterio from the past few weeks. Furthermore, he confirmed that this match will take place as a Chairs Match. WWE.com confirmed the same with following statements,
“Rey Mysterio and Rady Orton will pull out a chair (or two or 10) to settle their scorching rivalry. The time and place for the hard-hitting encounter will be at WWE TLC. They will go head to head (and swing for swing) in a Chairs Match. Will Mysterio capitalize on his moment for redemption? Or will The Apex Predator claim another “victim?”
He was about to spell out the most destructive three words in sports entertainment when Rey Mysterio returned on Smackdown. He cracked a chair into the back of Randy Orton. The Viper tried to counter but digested a 619 from the Master of 619, himself. Orton decided to leave the ring for that time being leaving the fight for WWE TLC. Mysterio picked up a little bit of momentum with the help of this win before heading into the final PPV of 2018.
