This week’s Raw started as Drew McIntyre came out to the arena. He talked about how he won the triple threat match last week and Mace & T Bar attacked him after the match. He said that if he got his hands on those two guys there would be ‘Retribution.’
MVP came out. He said at WrestleMania Backlash Bobby Lashley would beat Drew again. He denied the claim that Mace & T Bar’s attack was caused by him. Drew attempted to say something as Mace & T Bar attacked Drew again and beat him down.
WWE Raw 19.04.2021 Results & Ratings
Backstage Drew McIntyre asked for a match against T Bar & Mace to Adam Pearce. Pearce said that he needed a tag team partner.
Match 1 – The Viking Raiders defeated Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander
The match was given a 5 minute booking and it was an okay match. It was partially dominated by the Viking Raiders and in the end, Ivar pinned Cedric Alexander to get the victory for his side.
Match 3 – Riddle defeated Randy Orton
It was a very good match with around a nine minute booking. But we hope this is not the beginning of a feud for the two. Riddle pinned Orton with a Crucifix Roll Up pin at the end of the match.
Match 4 – Lana & Naomi defeated WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler in a non-title match
The match was booked for over 4 minutes and it was a good way to build up at least some feud. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke interfered during the match and on the big screen they showed how they beat down Nia and how Nia slipped during last week’s match. After the footage was shown Nia chased Mandy and Dana and Lana & Naomi defeated Shayna with a two on one advantage.
Miz TV was next as Miz and Maryse were seen celebrating, Damien Priest interfered. Priest showed how Miz cheated to get the victory. Priest insulted Miz more and challenged Miz for a match. Maryse accepted the challenge on behalf of Miz.
Match 5 – Elias and Jaxson Ryker defeated The New Day
The match was booked for 4 minutes and it was quite shocking that after all the jobber role played by Elias and Ryker they beat New Day. Elias pinned Kofi Kingston with a high Elbow Drop.
Match 6 – Mace & T Bar defeated Drew McIntyre & Braun Strowman by DQ
The match was booked for around thirteen minutes and it started as a 2 on 1 handicap match. Later, Braun Strowman joined as Drew’s tag team partner. At the end of the match, Drew snatched off Mace’s mask and started beating him down with the mask and as a result, they were disqualified. Braun snatched T Bar’s mask too.
Match 7 – Damien Priest defeated The Miz
The match was booked for 5 minutes and Miz tried to snatch a cheeky victory like last week but this time it did not work. Priest pinned Miz clean to earn the victory for himself.
Sheamus was forced to issue an open challenge for his US title. Humberto Carilllo came out but there was no match as Sheamus beat him down totally.
Match 8 – Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair
The match was booked for six minutes and it did a good job in storytelling. In the end, Rhea Ripley caused a distraction for Charlotte as Asuka pinned Charlotte with a roll up. Charlotte could not control her temper beat down the referee badly.
Overall, it was a good show. It did a nice job in building up the ongoing feuds. We give it 3.5 stars out of five. 1 star will be deducted for no appearance of some big names, and half star will be deducted for the same storyline booking for Riddle as the previous one.
