WWE Raw Feb 21, 2017 Predictions: What To Expect From This Week’s WWE Raw? 1

WWE Raw had been pretty disappointing since the brand split, even though it started pretty well with Finn Balor being the first Universal champion. But it all crashed down after Balor picked up a major injury.

People kept saying Raw is becoming more of a four men show with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho on the main event scene constantly.

But things changed after the introduction of Goldberg and Samoa Joe. In spite of being a part timer, Goldberg started to appear every two or three weeks. It helped boosting the ratings and after Samoa Joe’s debut two weeks ago, things changed.

So what to expect from this week’s Raw? Let us start with the shocking Kevin Owens – Chris Jericho angle;

Last week the much awaited festival of friendship turned into a complete mess when Kevin Owens turned on his onscreen best friend Chris Jericho. We have also seen ‘The List of KO’. So would it be the end of ‘The List of Jericho’? Quite obviously Jericho will now turn babyface and Owens will remain heel.

I noticed some smark fans were condemning the decision of turning Jericho face instead of Owens. They talked about Owens’ Ring of Honor days and his Kevin Steen gimmick. He was a successful babyface in that time. Some smarks believe that this was the time where Owens should have turned face and it could be his bigger break.

But I think this is the right booking to turn Jericho face and keep Owens heel and here is why; you see Owens was never fond of this so called best friend thing. He kept arguing about stuffs and it was solely Jericho was promoting their friendship and stuffs. So I believe this is the perfect booking and it could not be any better.

Now what to expect from this week? Kevin Owens coming out and explaining his actions is pretty obvious as it seems. All those ‘Why Kevin Why’ stuff is quite fun so far. He might explain his acts as Jericho has always been burden to him and he never wanted this friendship, so it is time for them to part ways. Jericho might not appear this week. I think he will appear directly on Fastlane and will cost Kevin his Universal title. And Jericho staying off of TV till Fastlane is definitely ‘Best for Business’ as they say.

Moving on to the Roman Reigns – Braun Strowman feud, as Roman was told that he will not get Strowman until Fastlane, it looks like things will not get much pick up by this week. Roman will be given some mid card match and Strowman will try to attack him again. Maybe the reverse would occur as well.

Sheamus and Cesaro might continue their quest for the tag team titles and Enzo and Cass remain the nail on this road for them. At Fastlane we might see Sheamus and Cesaro getting their rematch but I am pretty sure that they will come up with a multiple tag team battle for the title at WrestleMania. They better not start a feud again between Sheamus and Cesaro.

For the Raw Women’s title, I believe Bayley’s title win could have been way more dramatic than it happened. It was a good win indeed but what was the point? Charlotte will eventually win the title back at Fastlane for sure. They will not break Charlott’s undefeated pay per view streak before WrestleMania surely and that does not make any sense either. So why giving Charlotte so many title reigns too early? Are they trying to equal his record with father? I think first Bayley’s title win should have come at WrestleMania. It could have been way more dramatic and something fans would have delighted to see.

Moving on to the much awaited Samoa Joe – Sami Zayn feud. We saw Joe attacking Sami last week after his match. But no such purpose behind this attack is given so far. The reason will be given this week surely and we might see Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn at Fastlane and this feud will go on to WrestleMania as well.
