Former WWE Tag Team Champions, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder also known as The Revival have officially been granted their release from WWE. They have not wrestled a match since a March 1st house show in Syracuse, New York.
Their social media posts also indicated that they must be on the verge of leaving the company. Now, WWE has made it official with a statement that confirmed the release.
“Effective today, Friday, April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” the WWE press release reads.

The Revival is often considered to be one of the greatest tag teams in the new generation of signees. But they have always blamed the creative team for underutilization which might have led them to the departure.
The backstage conflict was first noted, last year by several wrestling sources. The Revival has reportedly requested their first-time release in January of 2019. They have also said to be thrown tantrums backstage which led to tag team title wins, shortly. But they seemed to be still unhappy who requested their release again, earlier this year and was consequently pulled off the TV.
WWE To Celebrate 25 Years Of Triple H In The Company
All Elite Wrestling has obviously been interested to bring in The Revival under their wings and it could be a matter of time that they end up being on that promotion, in due course. Once, the 90-day no-compete clause gets over, they could certainly show up on the Tony Khan owned company which appeared to be the strongest rival brand for WWE, today.
Dash Wilder has trademarked the name “Cash Wheeler” for future wrestling purposes. WWE has also filed for several trademarks related to The Revival, as well. These include “the Mechanics” “No Flips, Just Fists” and more. Dash and Dawson has filed trademarks for “Shatter Machine” “Say Yeah” and others which they could use around the independent circuit.
For the record, The Revival is the first triple-crown winning tag team champions in WWE. They achieved this feat by winning all three NXT, RAW, and Smackdown tag team titles during their run. Dawson and Wilder also held the 24/7 Championship, once in their career.
