WWE came up with a stacked card on this week’s SmackDown to get some major hypes for Money In The Bank 2020. Two qualifying matches were there for the MITB ladder matches from both male and female division. The tag team titles were on the line whereas Sasha Banks was also in action. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross hosted an episode of ‘A Moment of Bliss’ with the special guest, Universal Champion, Braun Strowman. It was informed that he’d defend his title against Bray Wyatt at Money In The Bank. Strowman received the gift of an old black sheep mask from his Wyatt Family days to close the segment.

Sasha Banks took on Tamina in the opening contest of SmackDown where Bayley tried to distract for the entire part of the match. Lacey Evans appeared as the neutralizer who dropped Bayley outside the ring. This distraction allowed Tamina to connect with two back to back Superkicks to pin Sasha Banks and become the new number one contender for SmackDown Women’s Title.

Money In the Bank Qualifying Match between Naomi and Dana Brooke took place on SmackDown where Brooke hit a body scissor to take control. Naomi hit a springboard kick and the rear-view to make the comeback but Brooke kicked out of that. Naomi missed the split-legged moonsault after which Brooke rolled her up to get the pinfall win.

Sonya Deville appeared on SmackDown to call out Mandy Rose and blast her for being selfish. After her rant finished, Dolph Ziggler appeared who tried to calm down Mandy but Otis came down. Sonya put her fingers on Otis’ eyes as Ziggler went for an attack. Otis backfired with a slam and hit a Caterpillar elbow drop, sending him to retreat on the floor.

The second Money In The Bank Qualifying Match on SmackDown took place between Cesaro and Daniel Bryan. Cesaro locked in the Crossface lock but Bryan somehow got out of it. Bryan countered with the YES lock but Cesaro broke it and leveled Bryan with a big clothesline. Bryan stopped an arm-bar attempt by Cesaro and locked in the YES Lock again to get the submission win.

Elias was about to present a song on SmackDown at backstage when King Baron Corbin attacked him from nowhere. He took shots with the scepter and hit Elias with a guitar to lay him down.

SmackDown main event featured a Triple Threat for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles with the lineup of Big E vs. Jey Uso vs. The Miz. Miz and Jey planted E through the announce table in the early part of the match. E came back with an Uranage on Jey. Uso came back with a Superkick. Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale and locked in the Figure Four on Jey. E broke the submission hold and dropped Miz with the Big Ending to get the pinfall win. He celebrated with the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to end the show.
