The coronavirus pandemic has caused several changes on the WrestleMania 36 match card, as reported on several previous occasions. The main event of the show itself went through a change as the franchise player of the WWE pulled himself out of the show.
A promising superstar has to sit out of the show of shows just because of the COVID-19 outbreak as the card went through a drastic change, overnight.

According to the reports of Wrestling Observer, WWE officials originally planned a singles United States Championship contest at WrestleMania 36 between Rey Mysterio and Andrade on RAW. The idea was pretty clear as Rey pinned the champion on Raw in a one-on-one bout. These two could have had a blow-off match considering the illustrious history. But the plans changed.

WWE officials decided not to do a separate match for the US title at WrestleMania probably keeping in mind that the card was getting longer. Then they thought of including Rey Mysterio into the currently planned RAW Tag Team Championship picture.
Rey Mysterio was about to team up with Humberto Carrillo to face The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) and Andrade & Angel Garza in a triple threat tag team match.
But this match had to be changed, once again as Rey Mysterio went into quarantine due to the current coronavirus situation. He could not work at the WrestleMania 36 tapings which converted the match to a traditional tag team contest between two teams. (Street Profits defends against Garza and NXT’s Austin Theory) But one of the most promising talents, Humberto Carrillo was also pulled out of WrestleMania 36, as a result.
“Just last week on RAW, Rey Mysterio pinned Andrade in a non-title match. It was not definite that would lead to a title match, but a title match was scheduled as either a singles match or a multiple person match. Besides Mysterio, names like Black, Humberto Carrillo, and Garza were thought of for the match.
Rather than adding a new match to the show, the plan after that decision was made was to have the tag title be in a three-way with The Street Profits vs. Andrade & Garza vs. Mysterio & Carrillo. But with Mysterio being out, Carrillo lost his spot.”
Previously, there were plans to host a Fatal-4-way match for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 36 where Andrade had to defend against Rey Mysterio, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo. But that multi-men was also scrapped for unknown reasons.
