Walcott leaves Arsenal for Everton

London, Jan 18: English football club Everton has officially confirmed the signing of Arsenal forward Theo Walcott on a three-and-a-half year contract.

The 28-year-old spent 12 years at Arsenal, scoring 108 goals in 397 matches, reports Efe.

“I’m very ambitious and I’ve come here because I want the club to push to the next level,” Walcott said after the signing, according to an item on Everton’s official website on Wednesday.

“I’m very excited to be starting a new chapter and I felt this was the right place for me to be,” he said.

The forward, who cost the Merseyside club some 22.6 million euros ($27.6 million), described Everton coach Sam Allardyce as very ambitious and said that his new team “is going in the right direction.”

“I do really believe that I’m going to give it my all, which is what I always have done, and this place is going to get even more out of me,” Walcott said.

“I am thrilled,” Allardyce said, adding that Walcott “has a lot of experience and will hopefully provide a lot of excitement for the Everton fans and for us, in terms of getting results, assists and scoring goals.”

The arrival of Walcott, who has eight goals in 47 appearances with England’s national team, follows Everton’s acquisition from Besiktas of striker Cenk Tosun.

Official! Barcelona Complete Gerard Deulofeu Signing

After failing to lift the league title in Spain last year, Barcelona have made a number of changes already, starting with replacing their previous manager Luis Enrique with Ernesto Valverde at the helm of the club.

The former Athletic Bilbao manager has his own style of play and needs players who fit in his system well for the next season.

He will have loads of pressure on him to perform in his first season at the Camp Nou and he will make sure that he has all the equipment needed to establish a title charge next season.

This has seen Barcelona scout for some of the finest footballers in Europe at the moment for a move this summer and one player who has completed his move to the Camp Nou is Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu.

Deulofeu signs Barcelona deal

A product of the La Masia academy in Catalonia, Deulofeu failed to have any kind of an impact on the fist team at Barcelona, as he made just two senior appearances in the La Liga before being loaned out to Everton.

The English club took him on a permanent basis but sent him out on loan after just a year to Serie A.

He was decent in his time with AC Milan but Barcelona are now looking for attacking talent that suits their style and Deulofeu could be a decent option.

The 23-year old has completed a €12m switch to Barcelona, and will now have a release clause of €20m on his new contract.

He wages are not yet disclosed but it is understood that it is just a two-year deal that he has penned today.

He reportedly completed his medical on Friday and has already completed his switch, making his eligible to play for the club from today.

Wants To Establish Himself At Camp Nou

At just 23, he has immense potential but it is hard to see him muster a place in the first team next season.

In a recent interview, he revealed that he is ready to stay and fight for his place in the first season back in Spain.

“It is my home and it was a shame I could not go back sooner,” he said.

“It is already decided. This year I will stay at Barca for sure. I am ambitious and I want to play with the best.

“I am very happy to have this opportunity that I have never had, to play in the first team of Barca,” he added.

Official: Wayne Rooney Completes Switch Back To Everton

English striker Wayne Rooney has completed his transfer from Manchester United to his former club Everton on Sunday. The 31-year old has signed a new two year deal with the Toffees and makes an emotional return to Goodison Park.

Wayne Rooney had played an incredible 559 games for Manchester United over the past 13 seasons when he was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2004. In his illustrious career with Red Devils, Rooney managed to win five Premier League titles, Champions League as well as Europa League last season.

The English international has expressed his delight over his return back to Everton and is keen to make his contribution to help the team move in the right direction.

“It’s a great feeling to be back. I cannot wait to meet the lads, get on the training pitch and then get on the pitch to play,” he added.

Everton had sold Romelu Lukaku on the other way around to Manchester United yesterday and are in the market to make a big signing. Rooney is an ideal replacement for Lukaku despite his poor performances for Manchester United last season.

“I’m not just coming back because it’s the team I support, the team I grew up playing for – I’m coming back because I feel the club can move forward and be successful,” said Rooney.

“I want to be part of it. There will be pressure on me to perform, but I’m ready to go. I believe I can help move this club forward and be more successful on the pitch.”

He has joined on a free transfer and will be keen to prove a point to his doubters. Rooney’s career came to a still during the first season under Jose Mourinho as the dip in form saw the manager lose his trust on the all-time highest goal scorer of Manchester United.

He managed a mere 15 league starts last season and had the toughest season in his career. The move was expected we can only hope that his incredible career will be right back on track at Everton. A seasoned campaigner would be great for Ronald Koeman going into new season as Rooney’s experience would play a massive role in their attack for next season.

Wayne Rooney Ready To Take Huge Wage Cut To Force Everton Move

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is set to take a massive pay cut to make a move back to his former club Everton in the next 48 hours, according to reports.

Disappointing season under Mourinho

The 31-year had endured the toughest season in his career in the debut season of Mourinho at Old Trafford. He was sparingly used by the Portuguese tactician as the season went on, after Rooney failed to convince him with his performances in the initial months.

The English international had managed just 15 Premier League starts last season and hardly played any important role in the squad’s results during the second half of the season. He was primarily used as an impact substitute by Jose during this phase as he failed to capitalize on the limited chances he got.

Earlier reports suggested that Everton have pulled out of the race to sign Rooney after seeing his massive £250,000-a-week wages. However, according to Daily Mail, Rooney will have steep decline in his current wages as he will be earning £150,000-a-week upon his return to Goodison Park.

Rooney is set to sign a two year deal with the Toffees and Manchester United are ready to pay off his last year in his contract which will cost the club another £15m. This move will also help Everton sign their former star for free for the upcoming season.

Lukaku other way around

With Rooney leaving for Everton, Manchester United have agreed transfer fee with Everton over the signing of Romelu Lukaku and the player is subjected to medical over the weekend.

The Red Devils are willing to pay a massive £75m to sign him and the deal will have no connection with Rooney moving around. The Belgian would be an ideal addition to Jose Mourinho’s roster ahead of the new season as he is a proven striker in the Premier League.

The 24-year old is another massive talent and still got plenty of years to play for Manchester United. He had scored an impressive 25 goals with Everton in Premier League and had narrowly missed out on Premier League’s Golden Boot.

Bang bang …

A post shared by Romelu Lukaku (@romelulukaku) on

The fact that he was playing on a pitch that was surrounded with Chelsea hoardings have raised the speculations over a move to Stamford Bridge once again. However, it still remains a distant dream for Conte and the club to land the striker this summer with Everton keen to keep hold of him.

Lukaku has been prolific in front of the goal and Chelsea fans are enthusiastic to see him back at the club. He was also linked with a move to Bayern Munich, as the German giants are one of his father’s favourite clubs.

However, nothing can be expected as long as it does not happen as Chelsea are trying their best not to replicate a similar transfer business like last summer.

The Argentine international had an average season according to his standards but has shown that he has not lost his touch and magic in the final third.

Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr have done an excellent job as his partners but it is now understood that the new boss at the Camp Nou has a new position for their talisman.

But do you think Lionel can adapt to this position and still score so many goals next season?

Chelsea have managed to lift their second league title in three years under their new manager Antonio Conte but not everything has been smooth since they lifted the trophy.

Having lost to Arsenal in the FA Cup final, Conte seems determined to improve on the first team quality next season and is planning some massive investment this summer.

He is looking to bring in some of the best players from Europe to the club to help them compete in the Champions League next season but reports have now surfaced that Conte is in disagreement with the board over a few transfers this summer.

According to reports he is now in a row with the club hierarchy and is close to quitting the Stamford Bridge just a year after joining them.

The Italian mastermind has already told Diego Costa that he is not in his plans for the next season and that he is ready to sell him.

The Spaniard has been in terrific form since his move to England from Spain but Conte does not see him fit for his Chelsea side and has asked him to leave over a text message.

Though he will fetch some heavy bucks, Costa is not easy to replace and it looked like this decision might cost Conte his job.

However, the exact reason for the altercations between the manager and the Chelsea board are now out and it is over Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Everton star, who has been in sublime form in front of goal for more than a season now, is finally ready to quit the Goodison Park as Manchester United and Chelsea are his most favoured destinations.

However, he could cost close to €90 million (£78.6m) and it is now revealed that the Chelsea board are not ready to splash such cash on a player who they let go for just £28m, three years ago.

It is understood that with Everton not lowering their price and the pre-season fast approaching, time is running out for Conte to build on his squad and he is frustrated with this and wants to quit.

The report also suggests that Conte has spoken to Roman Abramovich, the owner of the London club over this situation and wants to resolve it quickly.
