Liverpool To Sign Saul Niguez And Renato Sanches?

The former Premier League Champions Liverpool are currently linked with the Portuguese international midfielder Renato Sanches and Spanish international midfielder Saul Niguez according to reports.

Even though Liverpool have seven midfielders in their squad who are capable of playing first team football, they are still desperate to find a replacement of Georginio Wijnaldum who was a consistent name of Liverpool Football team till last season.

Liverpool To Sign Saul Niguez And Renato Sanches?

Previously the Reds were linked with the German International midfielder Florian Neuhaus but the deal looks pretty unlikely right now. As it stands, both Saul Niguez and Renato Sanches look realistic target for the Reds. However, it is unlikely that the nineteen times English League champions would sign both defenders, and it would not be necessary for them either.

Saul Niguez has been one of the most impressive players of the Atletico Madrid squad. He is a member of the Atletico Madrid Squad for over 13 years but it looks like he does not want to stay with the defending La Liga Champions anymore. Liverpool are ready to offer £60m for the Spanish star man as per reports.

Another name that has been linked with the transfer to Liverpool is the Portuguese international midfielder Renato Sanches. The 23 year old Portuguese International midfielder has been extremely impressive for Portugal during the Euro Cup. And arguably he was the best man for Portugal in the tournament.

Renato Sanches had a short loan spell at Swansea City when he was 19. But the spell was unsuccessful and at a very young age he was sold by his former side Bayern Munich. But he has been extremely impressive with his current side LOSC Lille.

The Reds can grab him for the half price of Saul Niguez. He is up for grab for a fee of £30m only. Sanches would have been an excellent addition in the midfield of the Merseyside club.

But it is also rumored that the Reds would not be moving for any midfielder this season as they already have plenty of options in their squad. But their injury record has been awful in the recent years. And players like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had terrible injury records. Others also had injuries every now and then. The only player that remained immune from injuries was Wijnaldum, so a signing may have been necessary.

Transfer Rumors: Sadio Mane Linked With £70m Move To Borussia Dortmund

But this year was his weakest year in football of his five year Liverpool career which is believed by a lot of Liverpool fans. Even in his worst campaign he netted the ball 16 times in total and in his last game against Crystal Palace, the match Liverpool had to win to achieve a top 4 spot in the Premier League, Sadio Mane scored twice. So it can be easily said that he is far from finished.

But it seems like his Liverpool career is coming to an end with the end of this season as Liverpool may not be considering to keep the twenty nine year old anymore and they might have been looking for a potential replacement as well.

A number of giant sides are reported to be in pursuit for the Senegalese International. Borussia Dortmund is the strongest link of them all as it stands. The German side is reported to be preparing a £70m bid for Sadio Mane.

Liverpool are also looking for a potential replacement for the Senegalese star man. Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho is believed to be one of the prime targets for the English giants. Sancho was linked with Manchester United last year but the Red Devils could not pay the high price set by the German side as reported.

So, there might be a potential swap between the forwards. As Liverpool fans are also looking to have Sadio replaced with some young talent like Sancho. Dortmund fans would love to have Sadio on their side as well. Let us see where this saga ends.

It was an emotional match not only because it marked their fifth Premier League win it also was the farewell match for Manchester City Legend Sergio Aguero who netted the ball twice today.

Manchester City Wins Premier League; What Happen To The Other Big Teams?

Liverpool finished third with 69 points, just five points behind Manchester United. With a season full of injuries, it seemed like very difficult for the Reds to finish top 4 this season. But Jurgen Klopp is considered one of the best football managers in the world, and this is why he is one of the best.

Chelsea finished fourth in the league, two points behind Liverpool. Even though they lost their final match against Aston Villa, they have been gifted the fourth position by Leicester City who bottled their Champions League hope this year again. Leicester City’s League finish was totally similar to their last year. They bottled it, in the same manner, this year.

West Ham United was one of the ultimate underdogs of this year who finished sixth. The other two big teams were Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal, who finished 7th and 8th respectively. Arsenal was the only team besides Liverpool Who won all their last five league matches. It looks like Arsenal is getting their Glory days back slowly.

Another underdog of the season has to be Leeds United who finished ninth and played extremely well in this campaign. Everton and Aston Villa started the campaign very well, but had to remain happy with 10th and 11th positions only.

West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Sheffield United got relegated from this year’s Premier League. Their void will be filled by Norwich city, Watford and the winner of the playoff final from next week. We are hoping to have another blast next season. With full of crowds the next season football will feel even more special.

Breaking: Liverpool Agree £36 million Fee For Ibrahima Konate

Liverpool were in pursuit of Ibrahima Konate for months. It is official now, finally. Liverpool agreed a £36 million fee for Konate as per reports.

The 21 year old had been pretty impressive for his previous side RB Leipzig. He played for the German side for four consecutive years. He had been a target for a lot of sides as the youngster showed a lot of potential throughout his career so far.

Breaking: Liverpool Agree £36 million Fee For Ibrahima Konate

Liverpool had been struggling for a promising center back from the very moment Virgil Van Dijk got injured. Van Dijk is considered by many fans as the best defender in the world right now. His injury would make Liverpool make suffer was a known fact.

But Van Dijk was not the only defender Liverpool lost due to injury this season; Van Dijk’s partner Joe Gomez also picked up a scary looking injury during the International training session, and the third choice center back Joel Matip was out injured as well.

As replacements, Liverpool had to play Fabinho and Jordan Henderson on the center backs. They called up Nat Phillips (who picked up an injury recently too) who was pretty impressive. During the January transfer window, Liverpool signed two Central defenders; Ben Davies from Preston North End for a total fee of around £1 million and Ozan Kabak from Schalke 04 on loan.

They covered up the bruises of Liverpool’s defense temporarily but it was clearly understood that Liverpool needed a prolific center back more than anything right now.

The French U21 international Ibrahima Konate was on Liverpool’s radar for months. Without any doubt, the Malian Origin French player would be an amazing addition to the Liverpool squad. A tall bossy center back beside Van Dijk would be something Liverpool want more than anything right now.

But then comes the injury issues of Konate. He is an excellent player indeed but on the next page, he is quite injury prone as well, just like most of the recruits made by Jurgen Klopp. One thing that never could never be understood is Jurgen Klopp’s obsession with injury-prone players. Here is another example of that.

Ibrahima Konate

Konate faced a number of big injuries for almost every season. With Liverpool’s recent fitness record it is a big doubt if he would remain fit for a full season.

We hope the 21 year old will not get any more injuries and for the rest of his career, he will play the best football of his life.

Breaking: Liverpool Owner John Henry Apologizes On Youtube

As soon as the news of the European Super League came into existence, Liverpool owner John Henry faced massive backlash from the fans along with every other club owner that was involved in this tournament.

Breaking: Liverpool Owner John Henry Apologizes On Youtube

From last night on IST, English clubs started to back off one by one. All six clubs withdrew their names from the European Super League after they realized fans are not liking this decision at all. They did not have any other choice.

The 19 times English League winner Liverpool released a statement by announcing their withdrawal from the said tournament. Just a while ago, the owner of the club John Henry posted a video on youtube apologizing to the fans and his team. He took the blame on himself completely. The complete speech is given below;

John Henry

“I want to apologise to all the fans and supporters of Liverpool Football Club for the disruption I caused over the past 48 hours.

“It goes without saying but should be said that the project put forward was never going to stand without the support of the fans. No one ever thought differently in England. Over these 48 hours you were very clear that it would not stand. We heard you. I heard you.

“And I want to apologise to Jurgen, to Billy, to the players and to everyone who works so hard at LFC to make our fans proud. They have absolutely no responsibility for this disruption. They were the most disrupted and unfairly so. This is what hurts most. They love your club and work to make you proud every single day.

“I know the entire LFC team has the expertise, leadership and passion necessary to rebuild trust and help us move forward. More than a decade ago when we signed up for the challenges associated with football, we dreamed of what you dreamed of. And we’ve worked hard to improve your club. Our work isn’t done. And I hope you’ll understand that even when we make mistakes, we’re trying to work in your club’s best interests. In this endeavour I’ve let you down.

“Again, I’m sorry, and I alone am responsible for the unnecessary negativity brought forward over the past couple of days. It’s something I won’t forget. And shows the power the fans have today and will rightly continue to have.

“If there’s one thing this horrible pandemic has clearly shown, it’s how crucial fans are to our sport and to every sport. It’s shown in every empty stadium. It’s been an incredibly tough year for all of us; virtually no one unaffected. It’s important that the Liverpool football family remains intact, vital and committed to what we’ve seen from you globally, with local gestures of kindness and support. I can promise you I will do whatever I can to further that.

“Thanks for listening.”

Liverpool fans appreciated the apology from Henry and they wrote in their comments following the video that they forgive him. This shows the strength of unity, a billionaire businessman had to apologize in front of billions of people only because fans showed their unity. We hope we will only see what the majority in the world of Football would want to see.

Mohamed Salah Wants To Join Real Madrid?

The Egyptian international forward of Liverpool is going back to face Real Madrid for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final along with his squad on the 14th of this month. This is a much-awaited return.

The previous meeting between the two sides was scheduled in 2018 and that match was the final of the UEFA Champions League football. The match is remembered for two big incidents mainly, the infamous injury of Mohamed Salah and two huge mistakes from the Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Mohamed Salah Wants To Join Real Madrid?

Despite all the bad history between Real Madrid and Salah, the Egyptians talked really nice of the Spanish giants when asked. Recently he spoke to Spanish publication Marca where he defended Real Madrid for being out of form for quite a while.

He said, “They’ve [Real] lost some great players, like Cristiano Ronaldo – the best in the club’s history, someone that scored so many goals.”

The twenty-year-old was also asked about his feelings on facing Sergio Ramon ‘again.’ He replied, “That game is in the past, so I don’t think about it. I’m thinking about the team. Everyone is focused on their team and everyone wants to win… that’s it.”

Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah. Image Credits: Twitter

When he was asked if this Real Madrid was weaker than the previous one he faced he said, “They’ve lost some great players, like Cristiano Ronaldo – the best in the club’s history, someone that scored so many goals. At the same time, they’ve signed [Eden] Hazard. Eden’s been unlucky, he’s been injured… But it’s a different team.”

And the most vital question that every Real Madrid wanted to ask if he would ever consider joining the Spanish League, he replied, “I hope to be able to play for many more years. Why not? No one knows what’s going to happen in the future, so… maybe one day, yes.”

Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah. Image Credits: Twitter

So, it is very much possible for the Egyptians to join Real Madrid any time. Since the Spanish League champions are in crisis for a regular goal-scoring forward, Salah would have been a nice choice to go for. Karim Benzema is doing pretty well for them just like every other season but he is already 33 and they need a replacement as soon as possible.

It is also rumoured that Real Madrid is in pursuit of any of the two most talked-about young forwards in the world right now; Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland. If they get either one of them they will be very happy. Salah being an addition to either one of the two would be the best thing for Zinedine Zidan’s side at this moment.

Ibrahima Konate To Liverpool A Done Deal?

The defending Premier League champions Liverpool have suffered mostly this season because of a lack of experienced and quality defenders. Their main man Virgin Van Dijk picked up an injury against Everton earlier this season. Later, it was revealed that Van Dijk is out for the rest of the season.

Just a while later, their second most important defender Joe Gomez picked up an injury in the England international training and he is also out for the rest of the season. Just a couple of months later, Liverpool lost their third center back Joel Matip too. And he is out for the rest of the season as well.

Ibrahima Konate To Liverpool A Done Deal?

After losing all their first-team center backs Liverpool struggled a lot and as it stands right now, Liverpool might not be able to finish top 4 either. They tried to find some defenders in the winter transfer window and they bought Ben Davis from Preston North End and took Ozan Kabak on loan for Schalke 04 with an option to buy.

Still, Liverpool’s struggle could not be surpassed by the side as they lost six consecutive home matches in a row. They have never lost this many matches in a row before.

Liverpool

Seems like the Reds will be very hungry in the next transfer window as they are looking for Midfielders and Strikers as well.

As of now, there is a very strong rumor going on all around the world of football as Liverpool has managed to sign RB Leipzig’s French center back Ibrahima Konate. The medical of the 21-year-old is going on right now. However, there has been no news with any concrete evidence.

Liverpool
Liverpool. Image Credits: Twitter

Konate is undoubtedly a very good player but he has a terrible history of injuries. And Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a strange obsession for injury-prone players for some reason. Most of the players he has bought in Liverpool so far are pretty injury prone and suffering from various injuries too. This is pretty strange that after going by such a critical time, Klopp is trying to sign another injury-prone player.

But we seriously hope Konate does not get injured ever again, wherever he plays at, he remains fit. The French U-21 international has a huge potential to be a world-class player in the future. We seriously hope the football world gets the best of him.

Thomas Muller Wants To Join Liverpool?

Liverpool is currently suffering from a serious problem in their center-forward position. With only two legit options available in the said position apart from Mohamed Salah, one of their regular centre forward is having a terrible time since the end of last season.

Roberto Firmino had been a regular goal scorer for the reds until this season came. He could only found the net six times in a total of thirty-seven appearances, which is not good enough for the standard of the defending league champions.

Thomas Muller Wants To Join Liverpool?

The other option Diogo Jota had been pretty impressive for them throughout the season but he is suffering from the same thing that almost every Liverpool player are suffering from this season; injuries. But he is a playing a good football indeed.

A creative center-forward is something the Merseyside club needs more than anything. There are a number of big names are linked with them but it is not much likely that they would launch them. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are two of the linked names but with Liverpool suffering from financial problems since the beginning of this season, it is doubtful that they would be able to land such big names.

Thomas Muller
Thomas Muller. Image Credits: Twitter

However, the German sensation Thomas Muller might make a shocking move to Liverpool. The thirty-one-year-old recently revealed that he may move away from Bayern Munich if he gets the right call.

“I’m not fixed to this club,” Muller said to The Times. “I have a special relationship, I love Bayern before I started playing for them.

“But when there is a situation where you have to decide maybe to play for a different club it would be no shame and no problem at all.”

As an example, Muller used his former teammate Thiago Alcantara’s move to Liverpool earlier this season;

“Maybe like with Thiago [Alcantara, now at Liverpool].”

Thomas Muller
Thomas Muller. Image Credits: Twitter

Liverpool was not linked to Thomas Muller previously but this statement could attract Jurgen Klopp’s eyes. With the reds suffering from centre forward issues a lot, the Bayern Munich starlet could be an amazing addition to boost things up.

An experienced player like him can be something Jurgen Klopp may look for to fix his striker issues. We have seen him scoring amazing goals throughout his career and he could not be bend by his age. He can be a good replacement for Bobby Firmino even now and can be a solution for at least two years.

Liverpool very close to realizing their Premier League dream!

Liverpool showed their dominance in the current season of Premier League yet again with a dominant 4-0 win over Southampton at Anfield recently. With this win, the Reds have scored 16 consecutive victories and have played 25 matches without getting defeated this season so far!

Already being heavily backed by top-rated sportsbooks on the internet as well as a great multitude of punters, Liverpool now have the EPL trophy clearly in their sight. Such has been their dominance this season, that Manchester City, the defending champions are in second position on the table, 22 points behind the leaders, making it the biggest ever gap in the history of the Premier League.

Liverpool looking like comfortable winners this season

Last year the race to the title came down to the final match, with Man City finishing 1 point clear of Liverpool. At this point, with 13 matches remaining in the season, it’s no longer a race. Instead, it can be termed as a 3 ½ month coronation prior to Liverpool’s crowning as the Premier League champions for the first time ever, since 1992 (the circuit’s launch year).

The last time that Liverpool won a top-flight title was in 1990, the first division tournament which was the predecessor of the Premier League. Prior to that, the Reds had emerged league champions 11 times from 1973 to 1990.

Did taste success in other tournaments

Regardless of being unsuccessful in winning the Premier League title, Liverpool did taste success in other competitions, for instance, winning four League Cups and three FA Cups over the past 30 years. They also emerged in the UEFA Champions League winners in 2004-05 and 2018-19, as well as UEFA Cup winners in 2000-01; and more recently they won the FIFA Club World Cup title in 2019.

However, the EPL championship eluded them till now. It’s a remarkable feat that Jurgen Klopp’s men have managed to claim 73 out of possible 75 points from the games they have played in the tournament so far. It’s a remarkable achievement considering the fact that EPL is amongst the most competitive sports leagues of the world. The Reds’ only slip came against Manchester United in October last year, when a late goal scored by Adam Lallana secured a 1-1 draw for the Reds.

Liverpool very close to realizing their Premier League dream! 1More feats worth highlighting

Liverpool have scored 20 straight wins at home so far, tying up with the EPL record. Currently they are riding an impressive 37-0-5 wave, only seven away from Arsenal’s record. Their last major hurdle in the ongoing EPL season will be on April 4 when they go up against Manchester City.

Over the last two seasons, Liverpool have had a record of 54-1-8, with their only defeat coming at the hands of Manchester City in January last year. In their last 10 matches, Reds have conceded only 1 single goal, and 15 overall this season.

The team’s manager Jurgen Klopp, an engaging and energetic German who arrived at Anfield from Borussia Dortmund over 4 years ago in October 2015, continues being the excellent manager he is, and plays down the team’s excellence, to keep them grounded.
