Manchester United Agree £72.9m Deal To Sign Jadon Sancho

Former Premier League Champions Manchester United agreed a £72.9m deal to sign English winger Jadon Sancho. The Premier League giants were trying to sign the wonder kid from last year.

This transfer Saga went on for quite a long time. Last year Manchester United went really close to land Jadon Sancho but they could not agree on the fee that his former side Borussia Dortmund was looking for. This year, however, Sancho was available for a move for a cheaper price.

It is also reported that Sancho would be receiving £350k per week from his current side as his wage. It is pretty much clear that the Red Devils were desperate to land the 21 year old.

Without any doubt, it is an excellent addition to the forward line up of the Red Devils. Last year they were really close from winning their 21st English Football League title. The addition of Jadon Sancho would really boost the possibility of United picking up the league title next season.

It is also reported that Ole Gunner Solskjaer wants three more transfers after completing the deal of Jadon Sancho. It is also reported that the former Premier League Champions are seen on landing Real Madrid starlet Rafael Varane to boost up their defence.

Another defensive signing may occur as we may get to see Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier moving to Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side. The Red Devils are also looking for a dream move as they are trying to land the English International striker Harry Kane as per reports.

Kane is also linked with the arch rivals of United, Manchester City and it is also reported that the Premier League Champions have already made a bid of £100m for the English Captain. But nothing is confirmed yet, so anything is possible.

Manchester City Wins Premier League; What Happen To The Other Big Teams?

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City won their seventh English League title and fifth Premier League title. Today they lifted the Premier League trophy after they defeated Everton 5-0. It was an emotional match not only because it marked their fifth Premier League win it also was the farewell match for Manchester City Legend Sergio Aguero who netted the ball twice today.

Manchester City bitter rivals Manchester United finished second with 74 points,12 points behind the Champions. The Red Devils did not look like if serious Contender since the start of 2021.

Manchester City Wins Premier League; What Happen To The Other Big Teams?

Liverpool finished third with 69 points, just five points behind Manchester United. With a season full of injuries, it seemed like very difficult for the Reds to finish top 4 this season. But Jurgen Klopp is considered one of the best football managers in the world, and this is why he is one of the best.

Chelsea finished fourth in the league, two points behind Liverpool. Even though they lost their final match against Aston Villa, they have been gifted the fourth position by Leicester City who bottled their Champions League hope this year again. Leicester City’s League finish was totally similar to their last year. They bottled it, in the same manner, this year.

West Ham United was one of the ultimate underdogs of this year who finished sixth. The other two big teams were Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal, who finished 7th and 8th respectively. Arsenal was the only team besides Liverpool Who won all their last five league matches. It looks like Arsenal is getting their Glory days back slowly.

Another underdog of the season has to be Leeds United who finished ninth and played extremely well in this campaign. Everton and Aston Villa started the campaign very well, but had to remain happy with 10th and 11th positions only.

West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Sheffield United got relegated from this year’s Premier League. Their void will be filled by Norwich city, Watford and the winner of the playoff final from next week. We are hoping to have another blast next season. With full of crowds the next season football will feel even more special.

Solskjaer Happy To Repay United Faith

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is happy he has been able to repay the club’s faith in him, with the Red Devils now firmly in the title race.

After a tricky start to the season, United’s form has turned and now they find themselves back in a once-familiar position of challenging for the Premier League crown.

Solskjaer sees off competiton

The knives were already out for the Norwegian coach after just a few games of the season, with United suffering heavy defeats to both Crystal Palace and Tottenham. Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Juve head coach Massimiliano Allegri were both being linked with taking over in the hot seat at Old Trafford, as the media speculated Solskjaer’s position.

However, a 3-1 win at Everton back in November sparked a transformation in United, who are now 7/1 in the football betting from Space Casino to win the Premier League title this season. The former Molde and Cardiff City boss has earned plenty of plaudits from turning things around at Old Trafford, and the club’s hierarchy should also be praised for sticking with him.

Solskjaer has spoken of the “strong backing” he has received at Old Trafford this season from the people in power at the club and has said he hopes he has “proved I can help the club going forwards”.

Work still to do at United

While United are striving to be in the Premier League title race come the business end of the season, there are still things to improve upon at Old Trafford. Crashing out of the Champions League in the group stages came as a major disappointment for the club, especially with United starting their European campaign so positively.

Paul Pogba

Making sure the Red Devils are back in Europe’s premier competition next season will be priority number one for Solskjaer, then trying to improve the squad to ensure they reach the knockout stages next term.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, it would be hard to argue the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are still the two sides to beat this season. United are starting to bridge the gap but significant strides must be made to compete with the Reds and the Citizens.

Financial backing key for Solskjaer

United are unlikely to do big business in the January transfer window, but next summer provides a real opportunity to add to the quality of the squad at Old Trafford. Big decisions will need to be made regarding current personnel at the club, with Paul Pogba’s future at the heart of the debate. Solskjaer appears to be getting more out of the French international since his return from injury, but still the midfielder is linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Much will depend on how the second half of the season goes for the Red Devils with regards to summer backing in the transfer market, but Solskjaer has already shown the quality and resilience needed to compete as a Premier League manager.

Paul Scholes Reveals The Two Teams That Prevented Manchester United From Winning The UEFA Champions League Titles

Former Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has revealed the two best teams he has ever played against in his illustrious career with the English giants. Paul Scholes made his full debut for Manchester United in the 1994–95 season. He went on to make 718 appearances for United, the third-highest number of appearances by any player for the club.

Scholes announced his retirement from playing in May 2011 and was appointed as a coach at Manchester United. However, he returned to playing in January 2012 and went on to play one more season for the club before retiring again in May 2013.  With United, Scholes won 25 trophies including 11 Premier League titles (more than any other English player) and two UEFA Champions League titles.

However, there were a couple of teams that Scholes believes, prevented Manchester United from winning more Champions League titles.

Paul Scholes Reveals The Two Teams That Prevented Manchester United From Winning More Champions League Titles

Paul Scholes has lamented the “ridiculous” Real Madrid and Barcelona teams that thwarted Manchester United in the Champions League, insisting that ‘in any other era we might have won five or six European Cups’.

“We were quite unlucky really. In any other era we might have won four, five, or six European Cups,” the Red Devils legend told the A Goal In One Podcast. “But the teams that were about – you look at Pep Guardiola’s FC Barcelona team. Jesus, how good were they?!” Paul Scholes further said

“You could go right through the team. In midfield, you had Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi. Henry on the left. Centre halves of Gerard Pique and Carlos Puyol. Just unreal. They’re without doubt the best team I’ve played against. They’re one of the best teams that has ever been,” Scholes added.

We Got Absolutely Battered At The Bernebeau: Paul Scholes

“If I go a bit further back I think of the Real Madrid side that we played against,” said the 45-year-old. “We got absolutely battered in the Bernabeu one year. 3-1 it was in the first game but what a team that was. It’s not far away from that Barcelona team,” Scholes added.

“They had the Brazilian Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Redondo was unreal, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Hierro, Iker Casillas in goal, that was a team that was just ridiculous. We came up against some ridiculous teams. We did alright against them but Barcelona just had that edge over that great Real Madrid team,” Paul Scholes further said.

Ryan Giggs Opens Up On The Similarities Between Louis Van Gaal And Sir Alex Ferguson As Managers Of Manchester United

Ryan Giggs, one of the greatest ever players to don the Manchester United jersey, has opened up on the similarities between Louis Van Gaal and Sir Alex Ferguson as managers of the club. Notably, Sir Alex Ferguson is considered to be one of the most iconic managers in world football because of his legendary stint with Manchester United.

Alex Ferguson’s United is considered to be one of the most globally dominant teams in the history of world football. Louis Van Gaal, on the other hand, had a very limited stint with the Reds as he couldn’t guide them to the success that the management sought from him.

Now, Ryan Giggs, who has had the experience of working under both, Sir Alex Ferguson and Louis Van Gaal, has opened up on the similarities between the two managers.

Ryan Giggs Discusses Similarities Between Louis Van Gaal And Sir Alex Ferguson

“Discipline for one, that was the one thing that Sir Alex and Louis had,” Giggs said during MUTV Group Chat where he was the latest guest.

Ryan Giggs And Van Gaal

“I got a chance at 17 and I’ve tried to do the same with Wales: pick out the best young players and give them a chance. If they take their chance then great, if they don’t then at least they’ve had a chance. And it’s about trying to play football in the right way, an exciting way, scoring goals and having players on the pitch who want to excite the fans and excite me as well,” said Ryan Giggs who is currently the manager of the Welsh national team.

Wayne Rooney had recently said in a Sunday Times column that ‘tactically, van Gaal was by far the best’ but that, overall, ‘Fergie was streets ahead’.

Ryan Giggs Responds To Wayne Rooney’s Remark On Both The Managers

“I understand what Wayne was saying. Obviously we both worked under Sir Alex who I’ve known since I was 13. Sir Alex had everything – man-management, discipline, standards, tactics, knowing a player but with him, because we had such good players who had been together for a long time, you’d just go out and play. You knew your role, it was just a matter of just tweaking it,” Giggs said.

Ryan Giggs

“With Louis it was probably the opposite. We played different systems under him whereas under Sir Alex we more or less just played one system and we’d tweak it. I can’t remember us ever playing three at the back, maybe once or twice if we needed to hold on, but other than that we didn’t,” Giggs concluded
