Usman Khawaja was the top scorer for the Aussies in the second innings as he scored 75 while Mitchell Marsh who remained unbeaten on day three scored 45. Kagiso Rabada was the star with the ball for the Proteas as he took six wickets in the innings and completed a ten-wicket haul in the match. South Africa were 22/1 at lunch break on day four.

The 110th ranked Yuki defeated the ninth seed Frenchman 6-4 6-4 in one hour and 19 minutes.

South Africa took the advantage in the second Test against Australia as they lead the tourists by 139 runs in the first innings. The Proteas were dismissed for 382 as star batsman AB De Villiers completed his first Test century in three years. This was also his 22nd Test century. South Africa’s last three wickets managed to score 155 runs. De Villiers, on the other hand, remained unbeaten on 126.

South Africa got a strong grip in the first innings of the second Test, as they went into the lunch break on 110/2 on the second day.

Australia were bundled out for 243 on the first day. David Warner was the highest scorer for the tourists, as he scored 63. Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers claiming a five-wicket-haul.

Dean Elgar and Hashim Amla were at the crease on 38 and 31, respectively.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Manchester United were at their best as they came back from a 2 goal deficit to win the match in injury time courtesy a Nemanja Matic goal. Andros Townsend gave Palace the lead in the 11thminute, while Patrick Van Aanholt doubled the lead just after the halftime break. However, Manchester United struck back via Chris Smalling, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic goals in the second half and won the match 3-2.

PSG vs Real Madrid

Paris Saint Germain will host Real Madrid in the second leg of Round of 16. PSG are currently trailing 1-3 on aggregate. The hosts will also be without the services of Brazilian Superstar Neymar, as he has been ruled out of action for the next two months.

Liverpool vs Porto

English side Liverpool will host Porto in the second leg. Liverpool won the first leg 5-0 and had almost booked a spot in the quarterfinal.

Kyle Edmund becomes Britain’s number one

Andy Murray’s near 12-year reign as British No.1 has come to an end, with Kyle Edmund took over. In the latest ATP rankings have taken Edmund to a career high of 24 while Murray slipped to 29.

Australia won the first Test by 118 runs as the Aussie pacers took just 22 balls to dismiss Quinton De Kock on day five. The Proteas were dismissed for 298 while chasing a daunting target of 417. Mitchell Starc was adjudged the man of the match for picking up nine wickets. Australia have now taken a 1-0 lead in the four match ODI series.

Australia were bundled out early on day four as they could only manage to score 227 in the second innings Cameron Bancroft was the top scorer at the top of the order with 53 runs. Keshav Maharaj picked up four wickets adding to five wickets in the first innings. The Proteas were then reduced to 63/4 at lunch on day four.

Former world No. 1 Andy Murray is preparing to return to the court following hip surgery and could be back in match action before the grass-court season starts. He has been out of action since Wimbledon due to a problem in his right hip.

Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham

Harry Kane netted his 24th goal in the 2017/18 English Premier League season as Tottenham scored a late winner to bag all the three points against Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace defended well throughout the match, but the Spurs attack kept on testing the Palace defense. But it was in the 88th minute that the England striker finally found the back of the net.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea 

Chelsea took the lead at Old Trafford, but the Manchester United pulled back things and won the match 2-1. Willian struck in the 32 minute, but United and Belgium forward equalized in the 39th minute. Jese Lingard who came in the second half as a substitute scored the winner for the home team to take Manchester United back to the second spot in the standings.

Football League Cup, Final

Arsenal vs. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola won his first title in England as Manchester City defeated Arsenal 3-0 in the final of the EFL Cup in Wembley. City won the match and completely dominated the Gunners. Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Vincent Kompany then scored in the 58th before David Silva scored the last goal of the match in the 65th minute.

India completed a 2-1 series win in the three-match T20 series after they won the third match in Newlands by seven runs. South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first. India posted a respectable total of 172/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina were the main contributors with the bat as they scored 47 and 43 respectively. Junior Dala picked up three wickets for the hosts.

South Africa could only manage 165/6 in their 20 overs. Skipper JP Duminy top-scored for the hosts with 55 runs. Debutant Christiaan Jonker was the star for the Proteas as he scored a 24 ball 49 runs to take his team close to the target. Suresh Raina was adjudged the man of the match.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was adjudged the man of the series.

New Zealand vs England, 1st ODI, Hamilton

Hosts New Zealand defeated England in a last over thriller as they chased down a target of 285 and won the match by three wickets. New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first. England posted 284/8 with Joe Root scoring 71 and opener Jason Roy playing a handy knock of 49. However, the top scorer for the tourists was wicket-keeper Jos Buttler who scored 79 runs. Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, and Ish Sodhi picked up two wickets each.

For hosts, middle order batsmen Ross Taylor and Tom Latham shared a 178 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. Latham was dismissed on 79 while Taylor scored his 18th ODI century and guided his team towards victory. All-rounder, Mitchell Santner played a match-winning cameo of 45 runs off 27 balls to win the match for the black caps. Ross Taylor was adjudged the man of the match.

Rio Open

Eighth seed Fernando Verdasco beat Italy’s Fabio Fognini 6-1, 7-5 to set up a final clash with sixth seed Diego Schwartzman who defeated Chile’s Nicolas Jarry 7-5, 6-2 in the clay-court event at Jockey Club in  Brasileiro.

Dubai Championship

Top seed Elina Svitolina defeated unseeded Darya Kasatkina 6-4, 6-0 to retain the Dubai Championships title.

New Zealand vs England, 4th T20I, Wellington

New Zealand won the fourth T20 of the Trans-Tasman Tri-series at the Westpac stadium in Wellington by 12 runs.

With this win, New Zealand kept their hopes of qualifying for the final alive. England won the toss and chose to field first. New Zealand openers Martin Guptill and Colin Munro started well, as they were involved in a 39-run opening wicket partnership.

Kiwi skipper, Kane Williamson led from the front and scored 72 runs off 46 deliveries. New Zealand finished their quota of 20 overs on 196/5.

In reply, England could only manage 184/9 in their innings. Dawid Malan top-scored for the England team with 59 runs but couldn’t guide his team past the target. Alex Hales also scored 47 off just 24 deliveries.

Mitchell Santner was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand, as he picked up two wickets for just 29 runs.

South Africa vs India, 5th ODI, Port Elizabeth

South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first in the fifth ODI at St. George’s Park in Port Elizabeth. Hosts South Africa have made one forceful change to their side, as Chris Morris has suffered a back strain. Tabraiz Shamsi has replaced the all-rounder. India has made no changes to their playing XI.

Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion

Chelsea got back to winning ways, as they defeated West Brom 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard was instrumental for the winning team, as he scored a brace.

Hazard opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Victor Moses then doubled the score in the 63rd minute. Hazard then scored his second goal of the day in the 71st minute.
