The 32-year-old has scored a total of two hundred and fifty-six goals for the blue half of Manchester, which is a huge number. And who can forget his amazing league-winning goal against Queen’s Park Rangers at his first Premier League season?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola talked exclusively to ESPN Brazil where he compared Aguero with the likes of Maradona and Messi;

“Maradona conquered Italy, Messi did it in Spain, and Aguero has done it in England, his numbers speak for themselves,” Pep said. “When you have that internal fire, play with that anger, his incredible talent comes out, he can win games on his own.”

But what would be the destination for Aguero after he leaves Manchester City? Some big clubs have already come into the competition to secure the signature of the Argentinian.

Among them, Manchester City’s rival club Liverpool is rumored to be interested. With Roberto Firmino being out of form for quite a while and not enough replacement in the squad, Jurgen Klopp may try to get Aguero to his side.

Speaking of Liverpool, another rival of Manchester City is rumored to be in the race, and that is Chelsea. Chelsea’s new boss Thomas Tuchel is believed to be a great admirer of the 32-year-old and he may try to get him on his side.

Sergio Aguero Extends Contract with Manchester City Until 2021

Argentina forward, Sergio Aguero has extended his contract with Premier League club, Manchester City until 2021.

Aguero has signed a new one-year contract extension at City.

However, Aguero had signed a new deal with Manchester City at the start of 2016, but no one knew about it, as neither the club nor the player announced it officially. The forward also gave contradictory versions when asked in media interviews.

Aguero is enjoying life at City, and he has decided to extend his contract to one-more-year. After signing the new deal, the forward expressed his happiness and what it means to play for the club.

“I’m very happy because they have treated my very well since the first day I got here. I’m very happy with everything that involves the club, my teammates, the staff and the management team. It’s true that we’ve got a lot of young talent, that in the future can make the difference. At the same time the youngsters are quite developed already, like Leroy [Sane], Raheem [Sterling], Bernardo [Silva] and Gabriel [Jesus].”

“There are a lot of players, that have got things to improve and learn. But being in this club you learn and improve faster than anywhere else. We have a good team, we need to be focused. And if we are at 100 per cent, we have lots of chances to do great things.”

Manchester City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain also announced the contract extension of the Argentine forward by releasing a statement.

“He has been so important to this Club since his arrival in 2011, and he remains at the forefront of what we are want to achieve in the coming years. We are fortunate to have had one of the best strikers in the world at our Club for so many years. I’m sure our supporters will be thrilled with this news.”

However, Sergio Aguero has made 211 appearances for City so far and scored 146 goals. He won the Golden Boot in 2014-15 and became Premier League champions thrice with the club.

Manchester City Beats Chelsea to Win FA Community Shield; Sergio Aguero Scored Brace

Manchester City won the FA Community Shield against Chelsea at Wembley courtesy Sergio Aguero’s brace.

The Argentine forward also scored his 200th goal for Manchester City when he found the net at the 12th minute.

Sergio Aguero’s brace was enough to seal a comfortable win for the Premier League champions.

Aguero was stuck with 199 goals for Manchester City since he notched one in the EFL Cup final victory over Arsenal on February 25. However, the wait was over, as he finally achieved the glorious 200-mark on Sunday.

Sergio Aguero’s movement enabled him to find gaps in Chelsea’s defence, and the Chelsea defenders suffered throughout. As much as Chelsea missed Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante, City’s performance didn’t let them miss their star players like Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

Manchester City got the lead under 13 minutes when Phil Foden turned up the tempo by driving forward and feeding Aguero. He drifted into space 18 yards from goal and picked out the bottom-right corner.

Chelsea couldn’t attack in the first 25 minutes of the game, and like their attack, their defence looked shaky too. The premier league champions could have added several more, but a combination of poor finishing and some fine goalkeeping from former City man Caballero kept the scoreline respectable.

In the second half of the game, nothing changed, and Manchester City kept attacking. And Aguero found the net once again at the 58th minute to double the lead and seal the game. Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata had a yet another bad game with the Blues.

After conceding the goal, the Chelsea manager made some necessary substitutions. But that couldn’t change the momentum of the game, and the Premier League champions started the new season with silverware.

With this win, Manchester City won the Community Shield for the first time since 2012. Whereas, Chelsea have now failed to win the Community Shield in any of their last five appearances in the competition.

“The five players pre-selected by (coach) Jorge Sampaoli trained for the third time in a week. Man City Striker Sergio Aguero Injured In Car Crash

London, Sep 29 (IANS) Manchester City’s Argentine striker Sergio Aguero could be out of action for six to eight weeks after fracturing his rib in a car crash in the Netherlands.

The 29-year-old Argentine striker was reported to be on his way to the airport in Amsterdam after attending a concert of Colombian singer Maluma.

The English Premier League (EPL) club confirmed in a statement that Aguero will return to England on Friday to be assessed by the club’s doctors.

The injury would rule Aguero out initially for Saturday’s EPL clash with Chelsea and a crucial pair of World Cup qualifiers for Argentina against Peru (October 5) and Ecuador (October 10).

“Sergio Aguero will be assessed by club doctors on Friday after being involved in a road accident on Thursday,” read the statement.

“The City forward was in Holland on his day off and has sustained injuries.

“He will return to Manchester this morning and his status will be checked ahead of tomorrow’s English Premier League clash at Chelsea,” the statement added.

Aguero’s former club Independiente sent the player their best wishes on Twitter, saying: “Strength and speedy recovery @aguerosergiokun! All @Independiente is with you at this difficult time.”

Aguero has scored seven goals in eight matches for City this season, helping Pep Guardiola’s side reach the top of the EPL and win their first two Champions League group matches.

Argentine Striker Aguero Decides To Stick With Man City

London, June 19 (IANS) Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero on Monday ruled out leaving the English football club and insisted that he is very happy and will stay with the Manchester outfit until the end of his contract.

Aguero lost his place to Gabriel Jesus of Brazil in City’s starting XI in 2017, prompting wild speculation that the 29-year-old Argentine would leave Manchester this summer, reports Xinhua news agency.

Aguero managed to win back place in the starting line-up, and head coach Pep Guardiola adjusted both the strikers for the later part of the English Premier League (EPL) season. He finished the season having scored 33 goals in all competitions, 20 them in the EPL.

“I still have two years on my contract with Manchester city. I feel very happy here, so I will fulfil my contract to stay here until the end of my contract. I have not thought about where to play next. I just want to focus on the work here,” Xinhua news agency quoted Aguero as saying.

City finished third, behind champions Chelsea and their London rivals Tottenham. But it was enough to hand City a place in the European Champions League.

City already have Jesus who can play centrally. In addition, they have Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and new signing Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne who can play wide. In addition, there are rumours about Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez joining the Manchester club. So, if Sanchez signs, it will be very difficult to fit each of them into plans.

“I think my season was not bad. My form was pretty good. That is true I missed a lot of games and that stopped me from helping the team score more goals. But overall it was a very positive season,” Aquero said.

Aguero made his EPL debut after joining City in 2011 for a reported 38 million pounds ($49 million) from Atletico Madrid. So far, he has scored 169 goals in 253 matches for City, helping them to win two EPL titles.

Asked about the chances of his fellow countryman Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona for Manchester City, Aguero said: “There isn’t a team in the world that would not want to have Messi as a player. But I think he is doing pretty well at Barcelona.

“So I think he will stay there until the end of his contract because he is growing with Barcelona and has grown into one of the best players in the world,” he replied.

The pair might never unite at Manchester, but they can still play together for the Argentinian national team, currently standing fifth in the South American qualifying group.

“We have not finished our qualifying campaign, but in the World Cup, we always want to go as far as we can.”

Aguero also recollected the 2008 Olympic triumph. Playing alongside Messi, Angel Di Maria, Juan Roman Riquelme and former City teammate Pablo Zabaleta, Aguero scored twice and made a third in an epic 3-0 semi-final victory over Brazil. They went on to beat Nigeria to retain the champion at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest stadium.

“We always remember the moment,” he said. “It was a really unique experience. I don’t think I will ever play again at an Olympics. We won the gold medal. I remember so well how the people in China treated us. They treated us very well.

“We were very young at the time,” he added.

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero To Reject Manchester United Transfer

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is not keen on a move to Manchester United this summer, according to reports in England.

The Argentine could be available in the transfer market and a host of clubs are keen to make a swoop for him in a record move. Jose Mourinho is also reportedly interested in signing Ageuro in a controversial move from their cross city rivals. Manchester United are interested in signing a new striker in the summer as Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suffered knee ligament injury and will not be playing for the club next season.

However, according to Sunday Times, the 28-year old is not willing to move to switch his allegiance to their bitter rivals as it can cause a stir among the City fans. Daily Mail also suggests that Aguero will not make a move to Old Trafford even if Manchester United will pay him more than his current £230,000-a-week wages at City.

Aguero has been in sensational form this season as he managed to score 31 goals for Manchester City across all competitions. He is the leading goalscorer for the club but manager Pep Guardiola is not keen to keep him with the club next season.

The Catalan tactician is keen to have Gabriel Jesus as his No.9 for the upcoming season as the Brazilian has proven his class in January before being injured for the bulk part of the season. Pep rates the young Brazilian as one of the most talented young players in the world and is keen to groom him for future.

Aguero’s future at the club remains unclear as the decision to let Argentine can work either way and could be a massive gamble in the illustrious career of Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard will also let Aguero leave abroad and a transfer to a direct rival is a near impossible deal in the summer window.

Paris Saint-Germain is considered as one of the front-runners for Sergio Aguero as the French club continues to hunt for star names in Europe. Pep has worked with some world-class strikers in the names of Samuel Etoo, Thierry Henry and Robert Lewandowski but Aguero is believed to not reach Guardiola’s expectations this season.
