It is very unfortunate that even after being treated as a main eventer at the start, Rusev is now being treated as a jobber. When he started his main roster career he was presented as an undefeated, unstoppable force.

But after he lost to John Cena at WrestleMania, he got literally buried. He never got the momentum back after that.

Right now his status is even worse, he is jobbing to New Day every week. This is where the Raw creative team lacks. They cannot give everyone what they rightfully deserve. We believe Rusev deserves a big push. Why?

Here is why:

Great wrestling ability – No denying the fact that Rusev has amazing wrestling ability. He had some excellent matches in the past and he has all the qualities that you need in a main eventer. Even in the matches in which he was booked to the job, he gives his full energy. He is literally a workhorse. So why not give him the proper treatment?
Good on mic – When Rusev started his career he was not a good talker. Not most of the foreign wrestlers who do not speak English has the best skill on the mic. Talking ability sometimes seriously affect a wrestler’s image and future. But as we have all seen, Rusev is improving really well on the mic in spite of being a Bulgarian. He cut some great promos recently and it is pretty clear that he will improve even more.
Great energy – The energy he shows in his matches is fascinating. He has the energy to be even in a one-hour long match. In this year’s Royal Rumble match, he survived for twenty-three minutes, two years ago, he was in the Rumble match for thirty-six minutes. These are obvious reasons why he deserves a greater push.
Excellent move set – He does not have the best physic among all the wrestlers but he is pretty athletic. He can perform athletic manoeuvres and he has a pretty versatile move set too. And his move set is a big reason why he deserves the main push.
Better storylines – His gimmick is a great boost up for his future which can indeed lift him to better storyline involvements. His feud with Enzo and Cass might not be the best but he did an excellent job in it. His ‘handsome Rusev’ storyline was greatly executed too. You can clearly see how good he can do in such silly storylines, he can make bad storylines interesting too, oh yes, the stories he recently performed are poor. So if he could do so good in such poor piece storylines, he could definitely do the greater job in main event storylines. This is another reason why Rusev deserves to be on the main events.
