A moment with instant shock value occurred on this past week’s episode of SmackDown Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio came very close. Murphy asked Dominik & Rey Mysterio to come out to the ring so he could apologize to them face-to-face for his past misdeeds with the Mysterios.
However, Seth Rollins interrupted him and told Aalyah Mysterio that her parents are controlling her. Her brother Dominik is a coward and doesn’t like the fact that she is stealing his spotlight. Dominik then ran down to the ring and attacked Rollins. He also started fighting with Murphy until Rey Mysterio entered to make the save.

Aalyah Mysterio then stopped his father and brother from hitting a double-619 on Murphy. She then confessed to Rey that she loves Murphy. Rey couldn’t believe and his daughter to come with him, backstage. Aalyah refused to do so and instead hugged and kissed Murphy. Seth Rollins was seen shocked but smiling on the stage and so did the WWE Universe.
It’s certain that Rey Mysterio was the one to bring his daughter to his workplace as it seemed to be a good idea for him at the time. But he certainly didn’t expect his 19-year-old daughter to get hooked up with a 32-year-old WWE Superstar. Some fans are often pointing out on social media, making it a big deal about the age difference but that may not be an issue, backstage.

Ringside News previously reported that Vince McMahon has loved Aalyah Mysterio’s work, so far. She is not under a deal with WWE to make regular appearances but that could change very soon.

In the meantime, the source has learned that the angle where Aalyah Mysterio professed her love for Murphy was well-received, backstage. Everyone involved in this segment was given props for how the characters pulled it off, and most importantly, Vince McMahon was pleased with it. A tenured member of the creative team informed Ringside News that “everyone thought it was very well done.”
Bruce Prichard was not present at SmackDown for the segment and Triple H got involved in helping with some segments. Aalyah Mysterio and Murphy’s kissing segment was one of those where The Game was involved.
During an appearance on WWE The Bump on YouTube, Rey Mysterio discussed his current storyline in WWE. He said that these family issues are following them at home as they discuss how they are going to survive as a family.
“Well, it’s been hard for us. We’ve had little bits of discussions. Believe it or not, we come back home and this topic doesn’t just stay at the Amway Center every week. It comes back home with us, and we discuss this and we try to figure out what the best solution is.
