Former NXT Champion Adam Cole recently revealed his desire to have a feud with the former two times NXT champion Samoa Joe. These two big names in professional wrestling have never faced each other and this dream feud has been teased recently in the NXT as well.
Samoa Joe worked in the NXT for over three years before coming to the main roster. He won a total of two WWE United States championships in the main roster. When he was in the NXT Adam Cole was already present but they never clashed against each other. Fans have been dreaming of this match for quite a long time.
Adam Cole Wants To Have Feud With Samoa Joe
This is the first time these two athletes are getting involved in a potential feud against each other. The week that Samoa Joe made his return in the NXT and he announced himself to be the enforcer of William Regal, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly was having a backstage assault. To stop the two individuals, Samoa Joe knocked Cole out with the Coquina Clutch.
This is a serious indication towards a potential feud between the two former NXT Champions for future. Adam Cole is currently involved in feud with Kyle O’Reilly and it seems like the feud is coming to an end very soon. Maybe, the dream feud is up next.
The former NXT North American Champion Adam Cole recently spoke to TalkSport where he revealed his desire to have a feud with the former two times NXT champion Samoa Joe. He said;
“It would be incredible. Samoa Joe was one of the guys responsible for me actually discovering independent wrestling. Him, along with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan – Bryan Danielson at the time – I remember seeing those guys and being like ‘Oh my god, I have to watch all of their matches!
“And I have never, in my 13 year career, wrestled Samoa Joe. We just never crossed paths. And I know things are very different now where we are unsure if Joe will ever actually get back in the ring, but you can guarantee if that day does happen, I will be hoping and praying as much as the NXT fanbase is that we have an Adam Cole and Samoa Joe match.
“Aside from the fact that I do respect him so much, I’m sick of him punking me out! [Laughs]. I gotta change this, immediately.”
