In the main event of last night’s AEW All Out 2022 pay-per-view, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to win back the AEW World Championship. Following the match, MJF confronted him as the Casino Ladder Match winner to indicate that he will be waiting for the perfect opportunity to cash in his championship match opportunity.
Then after AEW All Out 2022 main show was over, during the post-PPV press conference, Punk was asked about his shoot promo on Hangman Page on Dynamite a few weeks ago. Punk noted that he wasn’t happy with Hangman spreading rumors that he was blocking Colt Cabana (real name: Scott Colton) from appearing on AEW TV.

Punk even called out “irresponsible EVPs” Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks for “spreading lies about him” and leaking stories to the press over him working with Tony Khan’s booking decisions in AEW.
According to Fightful Select, Kenny Omega, and Young Bucks, the inaugural AEW Trios Champions at AEW All Out 2022 were extremely unhappy over those unprofessional comments and threatened to walk out over Punk’s comments during the media scrum. In fact, they were scheduled to speak on that scrum but that appearance was canceled.
The source added that Punk has garnered “an incredible amount of heat” for his comments after AEW All Out 2022 over his comments and he could be facing repercussions for it. Fightful didn’t mention whether his comments were the reasons behind Omega and Young Bucks not appearing on the media scrum.

The Elite became trio champions at AEW All Out 2022
Before all these dramas went down, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks defeated Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) and “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW All Out 2022 main card to become the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions. The match-ending sequence saw Page accidentally hitting John Silver with the Buckshot Lariat instead of Omega. Omega rolled up Silver to get the pin-fall win on behalf of The Elite.
AEW All Out 2022 was Omega’s first AEW pay-per-view since he lost the AEW World Championship to Page at Full Gear in November 2021. After that match, he was out due to numerous injuries before returning on the August 17 episode of AEW Dynamite by revealing himself as the mystery tag team partner for Matt and Nick Jackson in the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions tournament.
