Dr. Britt Baker DMD has become a dominant force in the AEW women’s division let alone in the full AEW roster. CM Punk called her one of the pillars of AEW in November of 2021. The Women’s World Champion thanked him for those kind words and started living up to the expectations making headlines.

Without a doubt, Britt Baker has become one of the company’s most popular stars whose brand value might just continue to grow after getting aligned with real-life boyfriend in Adam Cole. The duo could soon be portrayed as the power couple of the current pro-wrestling landscape.

Britt Baker recently appeared on the “My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox” podcast to reveal the truth. During the conversation, she confessed to borrowing a gimmick from the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow character from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise played by Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

“Fun fact – I love Johnny Depp, and I think he’s absolutely fantastic as Captain Jack Sparrow,” Baker revealed. “But I’ve always loved when he… like, when anybody on the show would call him Jack Sparrow, and he would correct them, and go, ‘Captain Jack Sparrow!’

“And I do that in my promos. If anyone calls me Britt, I’ll be like, ‘It’s Dr. Britt Baker!’” noted the AEW Women’s World Champion. “I stole it from Jack Sparrow.”

In the Kliq podcast, Britt Baker said it was a long time coming since somebody finally acknowledged her contributions to the AEW brand. She was well aware of her value all the way along,

“I’m glad someone said it, because, I agree. I mean, you can’t say AEW and the pillars without bringing up my name, too. I’ve been here, you know, I’m the face of the women’s division, and women’s wrestling is just as important as men’s wrestling. So to say that I’m not a pillar? I mean, you need an examination. How can you possibly argue that?”
