AEW Double or Nothing 2024 will be one of the four major pay-per-views to be hosted by the All Elite Wrestling promotion, this year. The annual show is coming back within two months and more details about the show have been confirmed by the company, this week. It’s heading back to the original venue where a big name from the female roster will make her in-ring debut.

Since her debut at the special show of AEW Big Business in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, Mercedes Mone has kept the fans anticipating her in-ring debut and now that moment is confirmed to happen at AEW Double or Nothing 2024.

During the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Mone interrupted a passionate interview with her former rival in NJPW Willow Nightingale who is set to face Julia Hart for the AEW TBS championship at AEW Dynasty coming up in more than two weeks.

The former IWGP Women’s champion also made the big announcement during this appearance by stating that whoever walks out of the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view as the AEW TBS champion will have to face her for the title at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Mone made her debut last month at the Big Business edition of Dynamite from her hometown to put out all the speculations about her career. With her addition to the AEW women’s roster, fans can now anticipate watching some dream matches featuring her.

Meanwhile, Mone’s announcement confirms the first matchup for the TBS Title for the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 PPV event. The Memorial Day weekend tradition will be retained for the show as it takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, May 26. The venue will also host a live episode of AEW Collision on the eve of the PPV.

Originally, AEW Double or Nothing 2024 was supposed to go head-to-head with WWE’s NXT Battleground as per the earlier announcements. In changed circumstances, the date and location of the WWE PLE was moved, as first confirmed by PWInsider and WrestleVotes. The show has thereby to June 9 weekend and going by the updates, it will emanate from UFC Apex.
