AEW Dynamite had a huge opening match this week where the AEW World Heavyweight Championship was on the line. For the first time, former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan now known as Bryan Danielson challenged the current AEW World Champion Adam Page in this special Winter is Coming edition.

It was the opening match of the night and instead of getting a definitive winner the two men wrestled until the 60-minute time limit ran out and hence, it was declared a draw. Interestingly, this is the second big match for Bryan of his AEW career that ended in a draw. Previously, the match outcome with Kenny Omega had a similar outcome.

AEW Dynamite: Bryan Danielson Vs. Adam Page World Title Match Result 1

This AEW Dynamite bout was an impressive one as Bryan showed off his technical wrestling alongside some of his heel tactics while ‘Hangman’ Page used his super striking ability to defend the World Title. During the first half of the match, Bryan repeatedly slammed Page’s face into the ring post on the outside, causing the champion to get busted open.

Bryan was never able to connect with his Running Knee finisher on Adam but he was able to apply the LaBell Lock submission to which Adam managed to hang on.

Bryan vs. Page rematch is probably happening on AEW Dynamite

The reigning champion hit his finishing Buckshot Lariat in the final seconds of the match, but as soon as he struck with it on Bryan, the bell rang and the match was announced as a draw. The announcers also noted on AEW Dynamite that they are looking forward to a rematch while nothing such is yet to be announced.

As noted, this is the second time Bryan Danielson has wrestled to a time limit draw since arriving in AEW in September. In his debut match against the previous AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, the two wrestled in a highly appreciated bout on AEW Dynamite that ended in a 30-minute draw. With that, Bryan is still undefeated during his AEW career.

Also during the post-Full Gear episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan turned heel to initiate his feud with a babyface Page, and has taken out every member of the Dark Order since on each of the bygone episodes. Full Gear was the same PPV where Bryan defeated Miro to win the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament to become the number-one contender.
