AEW Full Gear 2021 is going to be the next pay-per-view event from the All Elite Wrestling promotion in November. The long speculation about the potential headliner of the night has been vanquished with a recent update from AEW President Tony Khan. The AEW World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in a singles contest as it stands.
AEW Full Gear 2021 will have something related to Owen Hart for their annual Eliminator Cup tournament. AEW’s recent partnership with The Owen Hart Foundation will allow the promotion to continue the late great wrestler’s legacy, moving forward.

While the promotion remains silent about the backstage happening regarding the tournament, last year’s Eliminator Tournament finals saw Kenny Omega defeat ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at AEW Full Gear. This set him up to his championship victory at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming, a month later.
Mega rematch set for AEW Full Gear 2021
Now, Tony Khan confirmed that former tag team champions will produce their much-anticipated rematch at AEW Full Gear 2021, this time with the AEW World Championship on the line. The champion Omega will defend against Page in a one-on-one bout. This comes after Page made a surprising return to earn a shot to the world title, this past week on AEW Dynamite: Homecoming.
As seen in the main event of that night, Page was victorious in the Casino Ladder Match and subsequently earned himself a future title shot. Speaking with Barstool Sports, Khan mentioned the following about AEW Full Gear 2021 main event match,
“Last year it culminated in Kenny vs. Hangman, which is very fitting because now as we go into Full Gear this year we’re back, and now Kenny is the world champion and he’s facing Hangman,” Khan said. “As we saw last year, Kenny won the Eliminator Tournament and ended up winning the title from Jon Moxley.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

It’s been noted that All Elite Wrestling will distribute original Owen merchandise on the occasion of AEW Full Gear 2021, including the Legendary Hart in their upcoming console video game, and host an annual Owen Hart Cup Tournament.
