The IIconics – Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were released from WWE at the same time and they were literally devastated with that move. It was their dream job since day one of their pro-wrestling careers. Following the release, one of them even thought of leaving the professional wrestling business for good.
The two Australians have also been unable to monetize their podcasting or appearances because of green card issues. But things then cleared up sooner than expected, because Peyton Royce and Billie Kay rebranded themselves as The IInspiration under their real-life names – Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay.
As the duo is prepping up for the next step of their career, they are also making statements with their social media accounts. Over on Instagram, Peyton Royce shared a few snaps with her husband, AEW wrestler Shawn Spears (fka Tye Dillinger in the WWE). On the caption, it was mentioned how the two have also become models and influencers,
“Hi, I’m Cassie. And this is my husband @theshawnspears. And we’re both Gemini vegetarians ? … no I’m joking ? actually, we’re pro models & influencers. As you can tell. [thumbs up emoji]”
Billie Kay aka Jessica McKay appeared to be the one behind the lens who reacted to the snaps with the following comment, “Man I’m a great photographer! Big pop on the last one.”
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay signed up with IMPACT
Due to Shawn Spears enjoying his stint in AEW, it was rumored that Peyton Royce might end up signing a contract with the company. It was also reported in previous times that there were interests from several promotions to sign her and her tag team partner.
However, Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay, formerly Peyton Royce and Billie Kay respectively, have signed with Impact Wrestling. They will make their debut with the company at October 23rd’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view event. On that same night, former WWE NXT Star Marcedes Martinez will challenge Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo for the Impact Knockouts Championship.
BFG PPV will mark the first appearance of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay in any promotion after getting released by the WWE. They recently appeared in a convention in New Jersey alongside many other former WWE Divas.
