AEW Full Gear 2021 ended with a new world champion in Adam Hangman Page. In the main event of the night, he defeated Kenny Omega to win the world title for the second first time in his career.

During the end of this AEW Full Gear 2021 battle, The Young Bucks – Matt and Nick Johnson came down to ringside to get a closer look and possibly help out Omegas. Page stunned the champ with the buckshot lariat and a one-winged angel. Nick was looking on and didn’t get involved while Matt nodded at Page who delivered a second buckshot lariat for the pinfall win.

Following the match, the Dark Order made their way to the ring and celebrated with Page. They offered him a beer but it was smacked away as the champion wanted a big hug, instead. The Dark Order hoisted Page on their shoulders as AEW Full Gear 2021 came to a close.

It should be noted that Adam Page originally obtained his title shot by winning last month’s Casino Ladder Match. He entered the melee as the “joker” and he went on to defeat Jon Moxley, PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Matt Hardy, Lance Archer, and Orange Cassidy on his way to the championship match.

The new champion sent a message after AEW Full Gear 2021

Once AEW Full Gear 2021 was over, Page spoke to the live crowd as they chanted “you deserve it” towards him.

“When I joined the Bullet Club, I thought I’d never measure up, I thought I didn’t belong and I lied to myself,” Page said. ” When AEW started, I told all of you that I’d be the first AEW champion. I might have believed it a little bit, but I lied to myself then, too. As time went on the lies kept on flowing. … If you’ll humor me, I’ll go for one last lie. To myself, I will hold this [title] for the rest of my life.”

Kenny Omega held the AEW World title for a record 346 days before losing it to Page at AEW Full Gear 2021. Earlier in the PPV, Bryan Danielson defeated Miro in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Finals and earned a future AEW World Title shot against the new champion. There’s still no word on when Bryan vs. Page will go down.
