All Elite Wrestling promotion debuted their new TV show, AEW Rampage, at 10 PM EST on TNT just after WWE SmackDown went off the air at 10 PM EST on FOX. Former WWE veterans Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Taz, and Excalibur were on commentary for tonight’s show.

The opening match of AEW Rampage was a history-maker, itself where Kenny Omega lost his Impact Wrestling World Championship against Christian Cage (fka Christian of WWE).

In the opener of the debut episode of AEW Rampage, Christian picked up the pinfall victory on Omega. By the end of the match, Don Callis attempted to distract the referee while The Young Bucks slid a chair into the ring.

Omega attempted to deliver the one-winged angel on the chair but Christian reversed it into his finisher, kill shot (or kill switch from WWE) to get the win. After the match, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Impact Wrestling EVP Scott D’Amore celebrated with Christian.

While Christian Cage signed with AEW back in March, he headed into the match as the undefeated one, number one ranked wrestler to Omega.

Britt Baker retained AEW Women’s World title At AEW Rampage

In the main event of AEW Rampage, Dr. Britt Baker retained her AEW Women’s World Championship against Red Velvet. The match ended with Baker forcing to tap out Red Velvet to her finisher, lockjaw.

Following the match, Baker decided to get in a few more shots and was stopped by Kris Statlander, who was watching the match in the front row. Statlander was then quickly dropped by an unknown woman dressed in black who was also wearing a black hat. She then revealed herself to be a wrestler from the UK named, Jamie Hayter.

Baker previously mentioned in her promos that she was bringing some more help since Rebel wasn’t always able to watch her back.

Hayter already made a handful of appearances in AEW back in 2019 while she also lost her debut match against Baker. Then Hayter also teamed up with Emi Sakura in a winning effort over Riho and Shanna.
