The biggest and probably the best news about this game must be the return of the long-time developer of WWE video games Yukes. Yukes were dumped by 2K two years ago. The result was WWE 2K20 which is considered to be one of the worst wrestling video games ever made.

Yukes were involved in some of the best wrestling video games in history like WWE Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw series, and who can forget the amazing game WWF No Mercy which is considered to be the best wrestling video game ever made. The game was so good that it is still being modded and being created by making it compatible with the recent days.
Speaking of WWF No Mercy, there is a huge rumor buzzing around the wrestling fans and the gamers that the AEW Video Game is being made with having WWF No Mercy game as an inspiration. If this true, this could be huge news for wrestling fans.
There was a rumor that 2K is making a remake of the classic WWE video game WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain. But no news about it in quite a long time.
