This past week on Monday Night RAW, a dream match between former two times WWE World Champion AJ Styles and WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been booked for the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 38. And it came with a huge twist as well.
Last week on Monday Night RAW, Edge cut a promo where he was looking for a WrestleMania opponent for this year. It was not answered by anyone by that time, but it has finally been answered this week and it is the Phenomenal One. The dream match is finally happening at the biggest stage of them all.
AJ Styles Vs. Edge Booked For WrestleMania 38, What To Expect
AJ Styles had been pushing for this match for quite a long time and it has been confirmed by him previously. Last year he wanted to have a match with “The Game” Triple H at WrestleMania 37. But “The King of Kings” declined to work and we could not experience this dream match.
But Styles’ pitch this year is actually coming true. He is finally going to have a dream match at WrestleMania. But we hope this match is not going to be a failure like his previous match which took place along with Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34. It could have been one of the best matches in WrestleMania history but it turned out to be an average presentation.
It is an amazing thing that WWE is putting real effort into this match as they are trying to add an excellent storyline into it as well. To build this storyline properly, they have turned Edge heel which is an exciting thing and it has also made this feud even more appealing.
A heel Edge is something that the fans were looking for for a long time. Today’s audience has absolutely no idea about how amazing Edge could be at a heel. He is considered as one of the best workers in the world of professional wrestling by most of the pundits and fans. We are really fortunate that once again we are going to witness the evil side of the Rated R superstar.
The first statement to promote the feud between the duo was literally amazing. Edge demanded an answer for his WrestleMania challenge from any individual in the locker room. It was answered by the Phenomenal AJ Styles. It was quite surprising that the confrontation became physical and Edge gave Styles a scary beatdown which was quite unexpected.
This unexpected angle has brought a new dimension into this new feud. And it can certainly be more than just one match viewed since WWE has brought something new in it. It is really good to see that WWE is not taking this feud for granted and they are putting real effort in it. We are hoping to see a WrestleMania worthy performance from this world class duo.
