Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze aka Madusa who is a three times former WWE Women’s Champion recently expressed her desire to have one last match as her retirement match and she revealed some names whom she wanted to be her opponent for her potential retirement match.

Alundra Blayze started her professional wrestling career in the American Wrestling Association, at a very young age of 22. American Wrestling Association aka AWA was one of the major promotions in professional wrestling back then. She walked in the AWA for three years and went to Japan to work for the next two years. In 1991 she joined WCW and worked for two years.

Alundra Blayze Expresses Her Desire To Have Her Retirement Match

In 1993 she came to WWE for the first time in her career and she has been portrayed as the face of the women’s division of WWE. In her two year time period at WWE, she won the WWE Women’s Championship three times in total. She left WWE in a very controversial way.

In 1995 she joined WCW while holding the WWE Women’s Championship. She burnt the WWE Women’s Championship on WCW television. It was extremely controversial and huge setback for WWE.

She spent the rest of her professional wrestling career along with WCW. She worked in the promotion till the death of it and retired from Professional wrestling after that. In WCW she was famously known as Madusa. In 2015 she was inducted into the Hall Of Fame of WWE.

In spite of being an extremely talented wrestler, she will always be remembered for the controversial moment of her career of burning the WWE Women’s Championship on WCW television. It is still considered as one of the most controversial moments in wrestling history.

Alundra Blayze aka Madusa who is a three times former WWE Women’s Champion recently spoke to TV Insider where she expressed her desire to have one last match as her retirement match and she revealed some names whom she wanted to be her opponent for her potential retirement match. She said;

“I would love to have a retirement match. I’m not dissing any era, but there are other eras before the Attitude Era. There is still a woman under WWE legend’s contract that they can do something with. But they chose not to. A retirement match would be wonderful.

“We see Trish Stratus and Lita all the time. I think those girls are great. But that’s all we see. I’m not sick of them. I’m just sick of seeing just them. I have high respect for those two women. But damn it, if it was them at 60, they would be pounding the pavement just as hard as I am.

“It would have to be somebody I can have a great match with. That if I bump my head and forgot something they can carry the match. Anything can happen. It could be a Nattie, Beth Phoenix, a Rhea Ripley. Everyone wants to see Charlotte Flair and Madusa. I still think that would be phenomenal.”
