Gunther is often regarded as the Ring General of WWE who has a massive fan base in the promotion and definitely one of the biggest projects of the company. He has already made some huge records in only one year after his main roster debut and it looks like he would break more records in the near future.
He is really close to beating the record of The Honky Tonk Man who has the longest reign of the Intercontinental championship in WWE history. The Ring General would be the first wrestler to beat this record in 36 long years. He is already being considered one of the best IC Champions in WWE history.

He has also beat the record of surviving in the men’s Royal Rumble match for the longest time beating the record of Rey Mysterio which he set back in 2006. While being in the NXT UK, he has presented some excellent matches. Currently he is dominating the main roster as well where he is orchestrating excellent matches back to back.
WWE fans have already started to make their own fantasy dream matches featuring the leader of Imperium. One of the biggest dream matches that has been projected is a potential match with Brock Lesnar. Gunther himself expressed his desired to face the Beast Incarnate. Speaking with Sportskeeda, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion said;

“I always admired him for how he handles himself and his business and stuff. For me personally, I think he’s my biggest obstacle at some point in my career. So if there’s a chance that this happens, I would love to do that, of course.”
“I think we’re two … completely different wrestlers. He’s obviously somebody that came up through, first of all, his family history. But then he … trained in the WWE system, and got brought up through that. I think he’s a picture-perfect example of how WWE can take someone and turn them into an absolute superstar.
“The aura he has, and the reaction he gets when he steps foot in an arena, is almost like never seen before.” concluded the Ring General who set a new record at Royal Rumble earlier this year.
Gunther and Brock Lesnar already had a face off during the Royal Rumble match where both of them participated. Ever since this face off happened, the fans are waiting to see this dream match. We can expect that this match is definitely happening at some point and we hope they would deliver a 5 Star worthy performance.
