After knowing the news, Asuka was seen extremely happy for Becky Lynch and as well as for winning the Raw Women’s Championship. According to PWInsider.com, Asuka’s sincere reaction to the breaking news was genuine as she had no clue about Becky Lynch being pregnant. She got to know about the same just like anyone else among the fans.
The more interesting thing is that Asuka was also unaware that she was winning the championship while winning the 2020 Money In The Bank ladder match that was pre-recorded at the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. WWE officials reportedly kept this pregnancy news secret until Lynch herself revealed it, just to bring out Asuka’s genuine response.
The report also noted that the superstars and backstage officials who were in attendance for the post Money In The Bank edition of Monday Night Raw had no clue that Lynch was pregnant until after her announcement. The man revealed during an interview with People Magazine that she found out about the pregnancy in April after taking multiple tests and is due to give birth in December.
Asuka was the lucky one under the circumstances as she could become the Women’s Champion with the least efforts. This title win had seen her achieve a major milestone in WWE. She is the only woman in WWE history who boasts of winning a Money in the Bank briefcase, a Royal Rumble, NXT Women’s Title, SmackDown Women’s Title, tag team titles, and the RAW Women’s title.
