WWE RAW star Austin Theory who is going to face Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38 recently talked about participating in the Elimination Chamber match. He discussed receiving the F5 from Brock Lesnar off the top of the pod of the Elimination Chamber.

The Elimination Chamber was the go home pay per view event before WrestleMania 38. Apart from normal matches it featured two Elimination Chamber matches, one for women and the other was for men.  The men’s one was scheduled for the WWE Championship where the previous champion Bobby Lashley defended his title against five other men.

Austin Theory Discusses Taking F5 From The Elimination Chamber Pod

When the match started Bobby Lashley got injured. Later it was confirmed that the injury was kayfabe and they just kept Lashley protected from Brock Lesnar. What happened was, as soon as Brock Lesnar entered the ring, he completely squashed the whole Elimination Chamber, including Theory.

Theory was the last man standing inside the ring against Brock Lesnar who has been squashed by the Beast Incarnate as well. But it was quite impressive that he survived even after the elimination of the likes of Seth Rollins and AJ Styles, even though ultimately he got squashed like the rest of them.

At the last moment, he climbed on top of a pod inside the Elimination Chamber. Brock Lesnar followed him and delivered an F5 from on top of the pod. And after the F5, Lesnar pinned him to become the new WWE Champion. It was really praiseworthy for Theory to get such a devastating move.

“There’s no better way than just watching it back and seeing my face, you know? At, at one point I had a plan and then after that, I was like, ‘I just gotta get out of here. Like I’m just, I just gotta get out’. And that was probably the worst decision I ever made. Pretty, pretty scary being in there. But, I’m glad I’m alive so that’s all that matters, right?”

“I don’t think the human body is supposed to spin like the top of a helicopter. Yeah, I don’t know, just like, this is, this doesn’t feel right, that’s all I know. Yeah, it was like, ‘here we are, okay’. Have you ever seen the, seen the funny videos where they’re like, ‘and at this moment, he realized he {looked down} up’. Yeah, exactly, that was me. That’s where time paused and I’m like, ‘this is it’.”
