This week on Monday Night Raw the commissioner of WWE Vince McMahon had a special announcement to make. He announced a ‘superstar shake up’ next week on Monday Night Raw.
Earlier rumours suggested that Roman Reigns will be traded to Smackdown as AJ Styles will join Monday Night Raw. Maybe this is the reason why all these things are booked. This rumour is floating all over the world of wrestling from last month. Vince McMahon wants to capitalise AJ Styles’ fame on Raw. And this is why he turned babyface on this week too.
Yes, AJ Styles is going to Raw, but is Roman Reigns will replace him at Smackdown? Earlier rumours did suggest it according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns is not going anywhere; “the key moves would be Roman Reigns to Smackdown and A.J. Styles to Raw. This was months ago. This past week we were told that Reigns isn’t going anywhere and the key moves were said to be Styles to Raw and The New Day to Smackdown.”
So Roman Reigns will be staying in Raw but Smackdown’s biggest star AJ Styles is leaving Smackdown for Raw. Instead, Smackdown is getting The New Day. The New Day? A tag team stable for a main eventer? Seriously?
To fill AJ Styles’ vacant position, WWE decided to put Shinsuke Nakamura on Smackdown. But they are forgetting another thing; another big star of Smackdown John Cena will be out of action for a while too. So if AJ Styles leaves Smackdown this week and New Day come in place of him, Smackdown will lose to big names when they got only one.
But why are they doing this? Smackdown has been doing better than Raw since the very beginning, then why are they trying to kill all the momentums of Smackdown? Can Nakamura save Smackdown single-handedly like AJ Styles did? This is the biggest question right now.
