WWE Raw star and a former six times WWE Women’s champion Becky Lynch who is also the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match of 2019 recently talked about her happiness teaming up with Trish Stratus and Lita at WrestleMania 39.
Becky Lynch had been the biggest star of the women’s division for a number of years. She was the first woman to win the first ever women’s main event of WrestleMania which was WrestleMania 35 where she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match to win both RAW and Smackdown Women’s championships. Last year she made her return to WWE after more than one year of absence for maternity leave.
Becky Lynch Discusses Teaming Up With Lita And Trish Stratus At WrestleMania 39
After her return, she instantly got involved in a feud with Bianca Belair and she did an amazing job to lift Bianca. They had a one year long feud which was ultimately won by Bianca and Becky received massive praise for the way she lifted the current WWE Raw Women’s champion. But at SummerSlam 2022 she received a shoulder injury which sidelined her from action for a number of months.
She returned just before Survivor Series pay per view event and participated in the Survivor Series WarGames match as a team mate of Bianca Belair and also helped her team to secure victory over their opponents. She was recently involved in a feud with Bayley which is a non title feud and ultimately it ended at WrestleMania 39.
Bayley brought her full faction against Becky and two of the biggest WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus and these women had an excellent six woman tag team match at the grandest stage of them all. Becky picked up the victory for her side over Bayley. But recently after WrestleMania 39, Trish Stratus betrayed her partners on Monday Night RAW.
Becky Lynch who is also the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match of 2019 recently spoke to ESPN where she talked about her happiness teaming up with Trish Stratus and Lita at WrestleMania 39. She said;
“It’s surreal. To be walking in with my teenage idol as tag team champions, and although we didn’t defend our titles, which I would have loved to, especially here at WrestleMania, it was amazing that we got to walk down with Trish Stratus. Lita hadn’t had a WrestleMania match in 21 years. How great were they?
“This isn’t easy. It’s not easy when you don’t do this week in, week out, like we do. To be able to come back like they have, without skipping a beat, us just incredible. I never got to see them perform live in person when I was a fan, so while I was watching on the apron, I felt like teenage me would have lost her mind.”
