Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair tore the house down at SummerSlam in a brutal battle over WWE Raw Women’s Championship. It did leave a scar on the challenger’s body as fans couldn’t help but notice that she was favoring her shoulder throughout the match. It was eventually revealed that she separated her shoulder during the match and will subsequently miss TV time.
There have been recent reports claiming that Becky Lynch might need to undergo surgery to fix the shoulder issue. If these reports are true then she is likely to miss a ton of TV time, indeed. During her absence, it’s pretty certain that WWE would build up a feud with a babyface Bianca Belair going up against Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky.
WWE Hall Of Famers Claim They Don’t Feel Like Having Legendary Vibes
Over on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the situation around Becky Lynch’s injury. He noted that a photo went viral from the match where the top superstar’s shoulder was spotted in a swollen state. It was indeed in bad shape and hence, going by the earlier such injuries, Meltzer believes that Big Time Becks will miss months as her shoulder comes back to a perfectly fit state,
“You know, when you’re talking about like severity of the separation and everything, the photo that I saw, it looked pretty bad and… Out months. Timing is what it is.
They immediately transferred the heat, instead of the idea that she got it in the match – it was from that Glam Slam, being thrown on her shoulder, right? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Yeah, and there’s no point in putting the heat on Bianca Belair, so they created that thing to put the heat on Bayley and Dakota and Iyo.” (Transcription by Ringside News)

WWE wanted Bayley and her allies to be blamed for Becky Lynch’s injury
Becky Lynch was originally injured after receiving a Glam Slam on the mat by Belair. But WWE wanted Bayley and her new faction to be blamed and hence, the trio carried out an attack on the former Raw Women’s Champion to provide a kayfabe way to the injury. This was a storyline way to keep the popular superstar away from the scene.
And when she does, she’s gonna kick the shit out of @itsBayleyWWE , @ImKingKota and @shirai_io https://t.co/YtptmOlLmq
