By the name of Women’s Evolution, WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown talents have seen tremendous growth in recent years. Distinguishing the barrier between men and women superstars in the company, female names are now more than capable of featuring in the main event on a regular basis.

In fact, following WrestleMania 38 season, some female talents from Raw carried the main event scene in absence of a world heavyweight title on the red brand. WWE has genuinely helped the women wrestlers to emerge for a long time. But it’s also true the recent bookings on WWE Raw/WWE Smackdown around them aren’t good. Even the talents themselves seem very much frustrated.

According to FightFul Select, several female talents from WWE Smackdown were frustrated with the fact that WWE was utilizing them on the program. The frustrations spread across the top and bottom of the card. It was noted in the report that many of the superstars were waiting to see “where the chips fell” in the bygone spring but then informed the issue to the concerned higher-ups.

Absence of top names from WWE Smackdown worked as a huge factor for talents’ frustrations

One of the factors that appeared to be the problem was the fact that heavy names like Asuka, Lacey Evans, and Charlotte Flair took time off from time to time,

“Among those chips falling were the returns of Asuka and Lacey Evans, as well as Charlotte Flair taking time off. With none of them factoring into Smackdown for the foreseeable future at the time, we’re told that creative was able to implement more women into the program on a regular basis starting with the May 13 episode of WWE Smackdown. Since then, we’ve seen more integration of a wider variety of female performers, albeit with varying creative satisfaction.”

Ronda Rousey joining WWE SmackDown was another huge factor. Given her strong and top status, the creative team doesn’t want each and everybody to face her. However, numerous sources on the roster told Fightful that the Baddest Woman on the Planet has been more than willing to work with a variety of talent on the blue brand.

One of the same sources also noted how Vince McMahon was more concerned about getting himself onto WWE Raw or WWE Smackdown after the first Wall Street Journal story was published rather than making sure that female talents need proper utilization. Surprisingly, the likes of Alexa Bliss, Shotzi, Aliyah, Xia Li, Doudrop, and Nikki ASH weren’t used during Road to Wrestlemania 38.
