The current WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Becky Lynch who is also a five times WWE Women’s champion recently talked about her triple threat match that is scheduled for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. She believes the match should be the main event of the night. She also talked about her match against Sasha Banks from last week on SmackDown.

As mentioned, Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against two former champions Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks at the Crown Jewel pay per view event at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The match has been really well built up. It is definitely a main event material for any pay per view event of the WWE. The feud has been really well built up as well. It has been quite physical so far, and also payment has been portrayed as serious contenders.

Becky Lynch Thinks The Smackdown Women’s Title Match Should Be The Main Event Of Crown Jewel

Becky made her return to WWE during SummerSlam. Bianca Belair was the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion at the time and she was scheduled to defend her title against Sasha Banks at the mentioned event. But unfortunately Sasha was not match fit at that time so she was taken off from the match. Becky in this process made her return and challenged Bianca for the title. She defeated her in only 26 seconds time to become the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Sasha Banks later came out to ask for her title shot. And she made herself that she is not here to make friends with anyone. She attacked both Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch and beat them down. Last week on Friday Night Smackdown Sasha Banks faced Becky in a non title one on one match. From a little help from Bianca Belair Sasha Banks was able to beat Becky in this match. It might not have been a clean victory but it definitely set a mark for the former WWE six times Women’s champion.

Becky Lynch who is also a five times WWE Women’s champion recently spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where she talked about her triple threat match that is scheduled for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. She said;

“It would be very powerful if we headline the show. This is the biggest match you can have in pro wrestling right now, regardless of gender.

“I think what’s very important, in a place like Saudi Arabia, is to show the women what’s possible,” Lynch said. “Maybe pro wrestling catches a young girl’s eye. If we can have that effect on even one person, it’s huge. Maybe it’s not now, but for the future, you can dream and you can achieve. Now more than ever, that’s so important.

“Even when I think about myself, I remember how I felt growing up when I first saw Lita come into WWE. She was a badass, and she could hang with the guys. She wasn’t the typical cookie cutter at the time. When I saw her, it showed that you don’t always have to be blonde and look like a Barbie doll to make it in wrestling. That meant a lot to me. Obviously, I’m not a girl that grew up in Saudi Arabia; I had a very different upbringing. But this is an opportunity to show them what girls can do, and that’s very powerful.”

“Coming back, I had a mantra in my head: Better than ever. My goal was [to] come back better than ever. That’s what I trained for and worked toward. Win or lose, I believe I proved that on Friday.

“So that match on SmackDown meant a lot. Any time Becky Lynch steps in the ring with Sasha Banks, it’s magic. That’s two of the best in the world going head-to-head. And let’s be honest, if it weren’t for that meddling Bianca Belair, I wouldn’t have lost that match anyway.”
