Cody Rhodes is indeed one of the top stars of WWE today. He made his return at WrestleMania 38 after a long absence from the promotion. During this absence, he worked on the independent circuit as well as in AEW. After his return to WWE, he started to be treated as a top star of the promotion.
This is the first time in his professional wrestling career that he received main event treatment in a major promotion. Upon his return he started a feud with former World champion Seth Rollins. He had a series of three victories over him which established him as a top star. He even won the men’s Royal Rumble match to feature on the main event of WrestleMania 39.

He challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 39. It was one of the biggest achievements of his career so far. Recently he shared of funny story when he wanted to punch WWE writer for not paying any attention to him. Speaking with Sam Roberts, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion revealed;
“That guy is still a writer here, and I have a great relationship with him. I think he doesn’t know it’s about him. I’m also like, ‘How do you not know? You were fake typing.’ I think a lot of wrestlers or superstars all feel, sometimes, helpless. ‘We’re bound to the creative, we’re bound to this writer.’ To a degree, there is a structure that you are part of, but we’re not helpless.

“I felt helpless and realized, I’m gonna have to get over that. I’m going to have to stop complaining and actually do something. I just didn’t want the thing I did to be outside. I didn’t want to leave. I didn’t want to be that. Being that and getting outside was the only way. It was the cage that needed to be rattled.
“There is a part that’s not in there, Hunter [Triple H] also told me that when I said I want to punch that writer in the face, he said, ‘Well, you should.’ There was a moment of thinking about, ‘I’m going to go do it.’ I’d be walking so slow, ‘does he know I’m going to punch him in the face.’ We weren’t fighting in the moment. They took that part out. Big HR problem,”
Cody Rhodes is currently involved in mega feud with Brock Lesnar whom he would face at SummerSlam. This would be the third time these two athletes are going head to head and this might be the end of their feud as well. There are rumours that he would challenge Roman Reigns again at WrestleMania 40 for the title.
