“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan is not only a legend of professional wrestling but one of the names ever in the industry without any doubt. He defined professional wrestling throughout the 80s and 90s. He had been one of the biggest names for major wrestling promotions like WWE and WCW.
However, there had been lot of criticism and allegations about Hulk Hogan for being a selfish wrestler with whom it was really difficult to work with. WWE Hall of Famer and Legend Jim Ross mentioned The Hulkster in the latest episode of his “Grilling Jr” podcast where he explained why it was difficult to work with him;

“It was an interesting experience because he had to be tended to,” Ross recalled. “He had needs, and that happens when you’re a big star. He spent a lot of time with Vince [McMahon] during that time, to work out a finish [for his match], which I didn’t understand, and why it took so long.
Jim Ross continued on this controversial topic, “Nonetheless, I guess it’s part of the routine — I don’t know. Maybe, it made Hulk feel better. If it did, cool. It was an interesting day to see how business was transacted behind the scenes,” said the former commentator of WWE who is currently working in AEW.

Hulk Hogan has worked in so many major promotions including the likes of WWE, WCW, and TNA Wrestling. But he earned most of his fame while working in WWE during the 80s. He was indeed the face of WWE during his time and Vince McMahon faced major difficulties in replacing him.
In 1994, Hogan shocked the world when he left WWE to join their biggest rivals WCW. The promotion hot boost after Hogan joined and they were mastering WWE almost every week. But ultimately WCW collapsed and it was sold to none other Vince McMahon who was the owner of WWE as well.

There were lot of allegations of Hulk Hogan for the death of WCW who misused his creative freedom. He also refused to put over a lot of big talents and he killed pushes of many wrestlers as well. He might have been one of the biggest names of the industry but he would also remain one of the criticised wrestlers as well.
