WWE chose a historic match for the main event of Wrestlemania 37 Night One where Sasha Banks competed against Bianca Belair. Smackdown Women’s Championship was on the line in a match where for the first-time-ever two black women were going up against each other at the Grandest Stage of Them All in a singles contest.
Moreover, it was the first Wrestlemania night to be closed by a singles contest featuring two women. While WWE hypes this up as much as possible, the two performers lived up to those hypes. Both the champion and challenger pulled out all the stops to deliver a five-star match. With live fans in attendance, they got even more enthusiasm to compete in that match.

After the dust was settled, Bianca Belair would go on to win the match and become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. The match is critically acclaimed while several fans also praised the work ethics of the two superstars. The overall program was also praised pointing that it should have been dragged.

That didn’t happen as Sasha Banks went into a hiatus after Wrestlemania but the champion is more than ready to compete in a rematch against her. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Bianca Belair talked about her historic WrestleMania 37 match.
She mentioned that the moment was something bigger than both her and Banks. The EST of WWE also made it clear that she is open to a rematch for the title whenever Sasha Banks comes back,
“That moment was bigger than us… Even though I won the title, no one lost that night. That’s why there are videos of Sasha smiling at the end. She had so much fulfillment from what came out of that match. Now, when she comes back and the title is on the line, we’ll see who walks out as champion.”

After the Wrestlemania loss, Sasha Banks did appear on the post-Mania episode of Smackdown to note that she’s not done with Bianca Belair. But for some reason, WWE didn’t drag the angle. Rather Bayley re-entered the title picture to put over the champion on two consecutive PPVs, Wrestlemania Backlash and Hell in a Cell. Only time will tell when Banks comes back and go after the title, again.
