The current Mr. Money in the Bank Big E who is a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently said that the crowd reaction that popped up on the recent return of John Cena during the Money in the Bank pay per view event was the loudest crowd reaction he has ever heard.

As mentioned, John Cena made his return to WWE at the end of the Money in the Bank pay per view event after the WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns defeated his Challenger Edge.

Big E Says The Crowd Reaction On John Cena’s Return Was The Loudest Pop Ever

On Monday night RAW he challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Hopefully, we will be seeing Roman Reigns versus John Cena for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam this year.

Cena made his return to WWE after more than a year. He did not make any appearance during the covid-19 pandemic WWE was organising their shows behind closed doors. So a big crowd reaction was pretty much expected on his return.

At Money in the Bank the crowd reactions were excellent. The reaction of the crowd was fantasic during the entrances, matches, finishes, on everything. But without any doubt Cena’s return hit the biggest reaction of the crowd for the night and arguably one of the best reactions in WWE history.

The former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E recently spoke to DAZN where he said that the crowd reaction that popped up on the recent return of John Cena during the Money in the Bank pay per view event was the loudest crowd reaction he has ever heard. He said;

“That Cena pop was one of the loudest I can remember. There are moments where you know something’s gonna come. So you kind of stick your head out, and you can kind of see the fans. I wish I had known, but I was back doing interviews and whatnot afterwards. But I watched it back.

“It was the loudest pop, and I said for a while was when Dolph (Ziggler) won Money in the Bank. But I was at ringside. This one might be the loudest pop I’ve ever heard since I’ve been here. They were very excited for John.”
