Big Show returned for a one-off occasion on this past edition of Monday Night Raw Legends special edition. He confronted Randy Orton while refueling their feud from 2020 summer. Although there has been a tease of a match between the two, things didn’t go physical as doesn’t wrestle much anymore.

However, Big Show is not retired who still intends to compete in at least a couple of big-time matches in the company. He is a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and two-time WWE Champion who doesn’t intend to go in a quiet way. He has a list of titles he’s picked up, down the road. With that being said, chances are there that he could challenge for another top title in 2021.

To be technical, Drew McIntyre’s first challenger for the WWE Championship was the Big Show as the duo fought just after a few minutes that Brock Lesnar lost the belt. He came out to set up that impromptu match and came upshot to kick off McIntyre’s reign as WWE Champion at WrestleMania 36. It was a pleasant surprise and it could happen, again.

While speaking to WWE UK, Big Show opened up about how he is going after a big match or title.

“It is funny, like, I’ve been asked a lot, like, ‘Are you interested in another championship opportunity, or another championship match?’ I definitely think in 2021… I’m a guy who’s always looking for opportunities so if I get the opportunity to compete for that coveted championship, so, absolutely. That is why I am still doing this. I am doing this because I have fun and I am also doing it because I’m still really good at it.”

The Big Show has made it very clear that he’s still interested in a match against Shaquille O’Neal although the chances of that match happening are very less, at this point. This match has been discussed for a few years but never happened. During the interview, the former WWE Champion noted that facing Shaq at WrestleMania would be a perfect scenario.

“Let’s see, in a perfect scenario at WrestleMania, it would be Big Show versus Shaquille O’Neal. That would be a perfect scenario because we never really got to make that happen. That’s one of those stones I’d like to get out of my shoe and settle that, who is the best big man of all time, period.”

Talks of this match between the two giants started in 2016 after Shaq and The Big Show faced at WrestleMania 32 Andre the Giant Battle Royal. They then teased a match at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida. But plans got changed in due course.

We’ll have to see what new opportunities Big Show are presented in WWE, this year. The company brought out a list of Superstars who will win a title in 2021 and he wasn’t included, at all. But being a veteran name, he could put over at least a number of youngsters in the near future.
