WWE always had the trend to feature celebrities on their show, and they once had a failed attempt with Britney Spears, supposedly. Most of the time they intend to come up with huge ratings with those celebrity appearances. This kind of planning goes even bigger when shows like WrestleMania or SummerSlam approaches.
Apparently, K-Fed was booked on WWE Raw for one reason only that WWE really wanted to bring in his then-wife Britney Spears to their programming. While discussing the topic of Something To Wrestle With Podcast, Bruce Prichard revealed that there were some in WWE management who had dual intentions with K-Fed appearing on Raw.

They really wanted to drag his celebrity pop star spouse into the house in due course. That appearance did not work out for Britney Spears, but they did get K-Fed to show up on Raw. K-Fed was also looking for some kind of promotion for himself that he could shed a positive light on him. He did get some as he went toe to toe with the franchise player John Cena. But Britney Spears was never got into the equation.

WWE Wanted Britney Spears To Appear On Raw, 13 Years Ago
“We are always looking for any kind of interaction that we can get with people that are popular at the time,” Bruce continued.
“K-Fed fit both of those, but Britney (Spears) was never discussed. Britney was not discussed upfront. I think there was a general feeling among those in creative that if we were good with Kevin and he likes it and it does positive things for him… then this is a great opportunity for maybe Britney [Spears] to show up at an event. Down the line, we could maybe get Britney involved in something. There was half that said maybe we can get Britney at some point along the way, even if it was a quick appearance on television.”
2007 was the year when K-Fed appeared on a New Year episode of Monday Night and he eventually picked up a shocking win. That WWE appearance didn’t lead to Britney Spears even sitting in the crowd during a WWE event as perhaps she wasn’t much interested in the world of professional wrestling.
Well, Britney Spears is certainly not on the radar of WWE, anymore. But Multi-platinum rapper Cardi B took to Twitter after Monday’s Legends Night edition of WWE RAW and responded after being name-dropped by WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson. A lot of chatters were heard on social media and WWE’s official website even joked about whether Cardy B was WrestleMania-bound. Only time will say if that’s happening or not.
