Former two times WWE World Champion Drew McIntyre is out of WWE Television for more than two months. The last time we saw him was back at WrestleMania 39 where he challenged for the WWE Intercontinental Championship where the Champion Gunther pinned him to retain the title.
Since then, we did not get any update on the status of The Scottish Psychopath as he is completely out of television. Most of the media sources claimed that Drew McIntyre is not happy with the way he had been treated in WWE lately and he did not want to work in the promotion anymore.

Big Update On Drew McIntyre’s Return: What Fans Can Expect From The Scottish Psychopath
However, he was mentioned pretty often by WWE as he had been drafted to Monday Night RAW on television during the WWE Draft and it the fans gave some positive hopes about the Scottish Warrior. WWE also gave homage to Drew yesterday wishing him happy birthday. It can definitely be a positive sign.
Recently reports from PW Insider confirmed that Drew completed his application for becoming a naturalized American citizen during his post-WrestleMania 39 time off. However, Mike Johnson of PW Insider claimed that there is still no major update on any contractual status of Drew with the promotion;

Drew McIntyre Is Absent Of WWE Television Since His WrestleMania 39 Defeat
“For those looking for an update on his WWE contractual status, as of this writing, there isn’t much of an update. The two sides have yet to come to an agreement on a new contract that would keep McIntyre with the company when his deal is expected to expire in early 2024.
“We can also confirm McIntyre was spotted flying out of NYC this week but no word whether he was up North to meet with company officials.” Wrote Mike Johnson of PW Insider providing the latest update of the Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre.

But recent reports from the same site clarified that Drew was not present backstage on RAW last night; “We are told that Tommaso Ciampa was not backstage at Raw last night after being present last week. Neither was Drew McIntyre, who we were asked about quite a bit over the last few days.”
