WWE Raw star and a former two times WWE world champion Bobby Lashley who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently responded to Chris Masters who was looking forward to return to WWE for a potential showdown with “The Almighty.” He threatened Masters that he would not be able to break the Hurt Lock.

Wrestling fans has been speculating a match between Bobby Lashley and Chris Masters for years as both of them uses the same finisher which is a Full Nelson Lock. Masters made this move famous during his time in WWE in mid 2010s. He used to throw the Master Lock challenge almost every week on Monday Night RAW where he challenged random people to break his submission move.

Bobby Lashley Reflects On Chris Masters Potentially Returning To WWE

The challenge went on for years and people kept on failing to break the lock. Ultimately 1 WWE star was able to break the lock, and that star was none other than Bobby Lashley. WWE had big visions for Masters but it did not work out pretty well and after leaving the promotion in 2011 he could never return to WWE ever again.

For the last number of years, Lashley had been using the same Full Nelson Lock as his finisher, and the fans instantly started to compare it to the Master Lock used by Chris Masters. Fans had been waiting to see a potential showdown between these two wrestlers in WWE. Even Masters himself talked about the possibilities of this match in the near future.

Bobby Lashley who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently spoke to the Hindustan Times where he responded to Chris Masters who was looking forward to return to WWE for a potential showdown with “The Almighty.” He threatened Masters that he would not be able to break the Hurt Lock. He said;

“I love it. I’ve seen Chris, I follow him on social media and he’s been doing a lot. He’s been wrestling all over the world and he’s been getting better. And I think if he has an opportunity to come back, I think that would be a really cool showcase. Whether it happens at the Rumble, you never know. The Rumble always has surprises.

“I think Chris has kind of proved himself in the professional wrestling world. If he comes back, you know what I would do? I’d literally just turn around and put my hands out and tell him to put it on me again so that I can break it out for the second time.

“And then I’d ask him to do the same. And I guarantee you he’s not breaking out The Hurt Lock. So there’s a lot of things that could happen in that matchup, but I think it would be cool for the fans to see. And I did take that from him because if I break it’s mine.”
